Why is hrithik compared to his seniors?
Lol
Let’s talk about his contemporaries...
There aren’t any... you know why?
They debuted at a time when srk, Amir And salman were at their peak... none of them survived (Fardeen, aftab, udhay, Abhishek etc) Which is why hrithik is called the last superstar of BW
Maybe you are saying he doesn’t have the same presence as others.
I personally feel the reason are he himself not being interested in that rat race, he likes to work on his own pace, he has a very in active PR, he would rather spend time with his family and kids. Barely shows up for events and parties He also likes to work on one movie at one time, which works againt him cause started following his formula when he was quite young and if that movie doesn’t work it’s a set back for him as his next is still a long time to come
I’m saying that cause if you take a look at the year he actively works and engaged with the audience he owned those years
2006 (dhoom2 And krrish Both blockbusters)
Then 2012 agnepath and krrish3 again both were super hits, he did a tv show that year as well...

The phase between 2010-2018 was a case of lost opportunities for Hrithik. His radical selection of films made a big dent in his box-office fortunes, if not his stardom. 'Guzaarish', 'Kites', 'Mohenjo Daro', 'Bang Bang' and 'Kaabil' failed to cut the mustard with the audience. There were some successes such as 'Agneepath', 'Krissh 3' and 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' as well but overall Hrithik failed to harness his potential to its fullest. While Salman and Aamir were going great guns, even the younger actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh surged ahead of Hrithik.
He turned the tide in his favour, yet again, in 2019. While 'Super 30' was a critical and commercial success, War set the big screen ablaze and turned out to be the biggest grosser of 2019.
