Why can't Hrithik create the Khan kind of stardom?

Most people I know had supremely high expectations of Hrithik after he debuted in KNPH. He was touted to be the next mega-star.

Hrithik Roshan gave HIGHEST GROSSER OF THE YEAR in

2000 - KNPH

2003 - KMG

2006 - DHOOM 2

2019 - War

But in between Dhoom 2 and War, he languished in the margins and even now he is secondary to the Khans.

Do you think he has under-performed in that aspect?

The craze after Dhoom 2 was another level. He had Krrish and Dhoom in the same year. And everyone was swooning over him.

Then he worked on Jodhaa Akbar. Which was another great hit but the gap was too long. Two years. After JA again he took a gap for two years, after which he delivered two flops in Kites and Guzaarish.

His modus operandi became like Aamir's. where he did selective work. But he became like that when he was still too young. Older folks like SRK and Salman were delivering films back to back, every year, at least 1 or 2 films. Hrithik didn't have that momentum.

The thing is it's fine to work like Aamir, provided you make films like Aamir. But Hrithik lacked that. Many flops, average, semi hits in between, he was neither catering to the audience that loves SRK/Salman's movies, nor the audience that loves Aamir's movies. He was stuck in the middle.

Fewer films, no huge male fandom, woke pseudo feminists’ sabotage, introvert off-screen that’s perceived as boring

Because 1 vs “3Khans” (conveniently clumped together for whatever reason) is not the fairest of a battle.. lol

Because Khans are more relatable than Hrithik because of their last name- considering everything else is the same!

True but Aamir's films has that perfectionist tag so people are eager to watch them as he built that reputation from 3 idiots, dangal etc

Aamir has an excellent sense of script, direction, and creative content. He can smell good content from miles away. Not everyone has that .
