Mumbai police has senior officers who would or should've known how the public feels about their conduct is important in getting said public to trust in the outcome of any investigation. I highly doubt all those IPS officers who worked with politicians, movie stars, and billionaire politicians, were fool enough not to understand the fact.

Cordially interacting with their Bihari counterparts and going over the info available would've done much to assuage the anger at the current situation WHILE keeping control over their turf. Instead, Mumbai police CHOSE to obstruct, obstruct, obstruct all the way. Yeah, legalities. But the commissioner and the home minister surely are not dumb enough not to recognize it would inflame the situation and further deepen the mistrust which would directly impact their ability to keep the city safe. The difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of it, etc. etc.

So yeah... the most obvious conclusion is that the obstruction was on purpose. Perhaps, it is wrong. Perhaps, all those esteemed persons ARE simply dumb. We can only hope the CBI investigation reveals the truth.

Also, in what way, shape, or form does it matter if the motives of those urging investigation are suspect? If truth about SSR's death emerges, does the obvious fact Kangana is out to get max mileage impact the tragedy or the criminality of his passing any?

Just because I've criticized Bihar Police's extreme disregard for law & protocol, doesn't mean I agree with how Mumbai Police handled this case.

How can anyone feel safe in India with so much politics and corruption? It's so disheartening and embarrassing

This case has at least moved in a direction of truth just because the MEDIA has kept it alive.

Sulk, disapprove as much as you want but the truth is, IF THERE IS ANY FOUL PLAY, we would have never got to know had not there been this MEDIA EXPOSE!

We would have written eulogies, moped and move on to discuss who is prettier in BW or whose body is greatest! Time to change this vanity in cinema to REAL art!

They have botched this up, whether deliberately or not, from the beginning. They have leaked things selectively from the beginning. In the garb of doing an investigation, what they have done is beyond shoddy and will be described that way no matter which side of the political spectrum you fall on because the dereliction of duty here is blatant af. Not just that, they have gone as far as to obstruct a probe so this blind faith that you seem to have on them is as hypocritical as what you seem to be accusing others of here.

Some of us know enough to state that every institution of this country has been compromised in the past six years. Yet we asked for a CBI probe because that's what his family was seeking here as they had lost all faith in the way the Bombay investigation team had conducted the probe so far and one can't even blame them based on all that is out there in the open right now.

There is no govt of BJP to fail in bihar

The govt is basically of JDU. BJP is just supporting it in alliance with minimum ministers

If we are judging people before investigation what are others doing

I have read comments like Mumbai police is at least better than bihar one. You are comparing 4-5 days investigation with 50 days Kitty party done by Mumbai investigation

In bihar every one is corrupt expect for nitish kumar

That man is running govt from 20 years

He doesn't need such tactics to form govt

He doesn't have a opposition there to begin with

The opposition party is of lalu ran by his son

They don't have public support. Infact after lalu that party is almost doomed
