The above reports says that his family refused to lodge official complaint which is required for any action to be taken by Police department.

They denied in the morning . Then when the proof came out they admitted knowing about the messages received. Mumbai Police can keep playing this game . Let's see how they defend this in the court. Not like there they can run away.

Oh...I trust Mumbai police more than these prime time debaters, politicians n bihar police. But there is something fishy for sure. They need to handover to CBI asap

I think it was a matter of protocol.

This is per my understanding. Correct me if I am wrong:

It was an informal complaint; SSR's brother in law, who is an IPS officer in the state of Haryana, tried to use his influence to get help of the Mumbai police. It didn't work, as no formal written complaint was lodged.

But when the Mumbai police did nothing, what did the family do for four months till the death? Not much.

Rhea being the evil witch from the family's POV is understandable because Sushant's life changed drastically over the last few months with his mental health, and his communication with family would have broken down, because he kept news of his mental health issues from them. So from family's POV, Sushant suddenly changed around the same time Rhea entered his life, therefore, she is the evil witch who did kaala jaadu. So their fears and the complaint makes sense.

What doesn't make sense is why didn't they do anything about it if they felt SSR's life was in danger. They perhaps thought this phase will pass.

Not to mention, they didn't say anything against Rhea for 40+ days after the incident. Upon investigation after the death, they did not name anyone for the death. Which to me looks like, they never anticipated this. And taking Rhea's name after a month and a half is more like an afterthought, and likely someone filled their mind with these theories, making them file a complaint against her.

They just lost their son/brother. They can take time to grieve and gather proof before speaking up after a month. And if it was an afterthought, they wouldn't have forbidden her from attending his funeral.

They were asked point blank if they thought someone was responsible for his death. They didn't name anyone. They had to tell their suspicions. Gathering proof is not their job. It is the job of the police and the investigating agencies.

Not letting her attend the funeral because they don't like her is different from accusing her of abetting his suicide/causing his alleged murder.

Lol. Mumbai Police did nothing about a 'life to threat' complaint back in Feb. Did nothing to investigate it even after his death. Police commissioner lies in the presser in the morning about no complaint. And in the evening takes a u turn when the proof was staring in their face. So damn honest they are I tell you.

Secondly, how come Sushant's Lawyer will know if it's linked or not. They r working only on things they are informed and r Fully sure of n that it Rhea. And where did he say Disha n Sushant met once?? Even if she was there for short time, she was recruited by Rhea. So maybe she backed off knowing their plan and that's y things got ugly for her because she came to know of their plan. Maybe.

The bodyguard of Sushant CLEARLY said Disha was present during Chichore shoot. Did the shoot happen in one day?? He met her many times.

What is the complete truth is to be seen n proven in the court. We can definitely only predict based on the things we see n notice.
