Clearly the family didnt think so and they knew more than us about his life. it was so wrong of some people to use it to talk about their own battles (even if legitimate) in THIS CONTEXT while his case was still open and his fans were looking for answers!!

I hope the debate on nepotism and systemic discrimination continues for years till we actually change how stuff works- but did it have to be done while diverting attention from crucial issues related to SSR's death case, which was not closed yet?

The mental illness thing was said by several people who said that if anyone at all thinks outside factors can affect a vulnerable person then they're wrong. They said Sushant's suicide was a personal thing and nothing at all affected him to take that step. Now that the Rhea thing has come out they're saying they're right.. how are they right when they said it's all about mental illness

PS: It wasn't diverted. Lots of people here discussed Rhea too.

Must've been tough to do this, get all the details etc but she did. I still dont think we have full picture but may the truth prevail and god, can you imagine what his dad must be going through? And the sister who lives in Mumbai? Tragic.

It could not be Ankita she was not in touch with Sushant at all. Infact she went in shock at the news od his death and for few days kept iterating he cant do that. Plus I am treating like a blind. Wont trust it as of now. I cant think of any actress who was a friend to him and visited Patna.

I cant comment to the extent of his mental heath but the father has mentioned in his FIR that Rhea hid any hint of mental health struggles from the family and was exploiting it. He was struggling a bit on his own, feeling vulnerable because of whatever outside pressures (but not enough to be suicidal) and the "environment'aka exploitation- if the allegations are true- made him worse and abetted his suicide.

So this is a tricky and nuanced argument where neither side is wrong and you are both partly right. Does it matter who won this though? Atleast now facts confirmed by the family are being brought to the forefront and maybe there is some hope of justice.

My comment was made in regards to some of the comments of the forum, at least on this forum I've seen a lot of debates on Rhea even before this FIR came out, that's where it wasn't diverted because people paid just as much attention to the Rhea thing as they did to the Masand blinds and the disgusting numerable blinds and paid smear campaign Sushant had to go through. Of course no one here is a future teller so they didn't know what the FIR would be about, but people weren't wrong to speak up against the blinds written on Sushant IMO as he himself was affected by it and spoke of it so people naturally thought that played a part in his worsening mental health.

Totally possible it is. It is a struggle to sift through the cottage industry of unconfirmed news, fake items and "sources"close to the case that have cropped up since his death. I am forever trying to confirm news that I read because so much of it is just "sources"saying stuff or people's theories. but in general, I trust whatever is put out from his family and sisters. So let's see.

I think the details that the family has come up with are extremely personal and it would have been difficult for anyone in the industry to be privy to those details since Sushant wasn't close to many people in there. Since it was pretty clear that he was harassed in the industry as well by someone we do not yet know with the release of blinds in a systematic manner, the focus naturally shifted there. I refuse to believe the blinds did not contribute to his worsening mental health. Therefore, a lot of people who have survived such hounding in the past found the courage to speak up. Don't really see anything wrong here.

I agree with you. But as I said from the beginning, while the blinds were frustrating and unfair, it never would be enough for abetment to suicide, because the law looks at 'threat to life' and it usually almost always is about people close to the victim, who have regular access and intimacy to the person.

Maybe not on this forum, but the talk all over social media and news post KR etc's interview was only about this outsider/insider which is an important conversation here, but not CRITICAL in terms of giving us an immediate cause and culprit related to SSR's death.

That's what I mean. But yes, it is cruel to deny what he went through. The MeToo smears were shattering.

I see you are into law. Did you get to see what Sushant's family's lawyer has to say. Any viewpoint on that ? I am sure abetment to suicide cannot be proven that easily. 😏

Absolutely agreed! The whole Alia-Kjo thing was wrong from the start anyways, how are these people sure only these two practice nepotism or mete out bad treatment to outsiders. Or that they're the ones who wrote those blinds. They should've instead talked about why Sushant was the only actor from the newer generation to have that much of a huge amount of blind items written against him. They should've never listened to Kangana who hates Alia/Deepika/Kjo etc and was using Sushant for her personal gain

Abetment is very very difficult to prove because usually when it is used, such as cases of wives harassed by their husbands, mental cruelty etc, it has to proven in a court of law "beyond reasonable doubt". That means circumstantial evidence wont be enough. Evidence has to be very clear and convincing. But in this case, if there are clear messages (if this story is true) where he's told his friend about imprisonment' in his house ie being controlled, being blackmailed and most importantly, a money trail, then it might be easier.

Again the issue is we dont know any of the confirmed facts regarding this proof, so veryyy difficult to say. I also feel bad speculating about anyone's guilt because we know so little. But I do believe SSR's family is full of intelligent people who will do this right.
