Thanks for filling in the gaps. I forwarded all Nia scenes so your update lets me know I didn’t miss much 😆

At this point, my patience with father-daughter is at an all time low. Their “bonding” only makes me roll my eyes. The level of self absorption and delusion, especially in Nia is something else. Amber has always been a defeatist and coward so this is more of the same from him 🤷‍♀️.

Story had moved a bit last week. Now it’s back to dragging again miserably. I will lose interest if they drag the pace again this much.

The RJ seems here for a temporary breakthrough for Guneet....not sure if she will be a long term friend. The writers are anyways obsessed with keeping this only about Amber-Nia’s obsession with each other while blaming the rest of the world 🥱

On this with u. If Niya is a young person behaving like a young person, thats fine. But why is Ambar allowing her to advice control interfere & impose on him, as a contemporary?

I dont get why parents confuss love with indulgence. By not telling Niya this openly & clearly - coz “Niya se badkar kuch nahin” - he is allowing her to be stupid even tho he knows it. Will u let ur kid be stupid just because it makes her happy?

If all the things we wanted happened, we would have a very ideal show and a boring one with nothing to complain about 😂

I think we need to be patient and let the story unfold ...Nia and Amber have been closed off to people for a very long time. As I had mentioned in another topic that they seem to have no other relatives. So they are naturally protective and blind toward one another. I think Amber has made progress by acknowledging how much he hurt Guneet ...he will get the courage to take it forward and also to tell Nia that he has the right to choose his ‘dulhan’

it’s hard for two people whose world just consists of one another to all of a sudden let a third in ...but I trust the CV will move it forward at a natural pace and let them both realize how they are actually limiting their world and life experiences

Hopefully they will be able to let go and explore

On some level it reminds me of Babes and Minnie ...they clung to each other like Saran Wrap ...unfortunately CV messed that up so nuff said there

I understand people want Amber to be the ideal man ..but why are we expecting Amber to be so ideal and do the right things ?

He is a flawed hero just like Nia and Guneet. This is his weakness and I’m assuming the show will move it forward at a natural pace

We can’t expect a man who has made a small world of himself and his daughter to all of a sudden change ...if he had stood up against Nia it would have looked jarring and just too soon

He has to grow ...gain back his identity as Amber Sharma not Nias dad ...and I think he will slowly

It’s also a gross generalization to presume all young people are like Nia 😆. I’m not sure what your age is but were you talking like this to people when you were Nia’s age? Nia has personality issues unique to her...,it’s not simply because of her age. Amber has let her sense of entitlement go out of hand which is why he can’t really wield the normal kind of parental authority with her.

It’s been more than 100 episodes and hardly anything has changed in evolving the story beyond Amber-Nia’s blindness and condescension towards anyone other than themselves 🤷‍♀️....so I don’t think it’s far fetched for some of us to lose patience with them.

I was also confused by this. I think it was just Rishi's intuition. He has the general gist of the story that Ambar liked Guneet, and something hostile happened in between them. But Ambar is not moving forward to correct the situation due to Nia. He has gathered how protective Ambar and Nia are of each other, to the point of being stifling, and that's why he points to Nia's attitude as being the problem. Rishi is good at seeing through people's pretenses to find their actual motivations. People's silence and expressions confirm whether or not he has hit the mark. It's like a fun riddle for him. India ke Bill Gates aur Steve Jobs ke saath woh India ke Sherlock Holmes bhi hain. 😆

You forgot to add Freud ...apparently he is a psychoanalyst also 😂

Yes I do agree with you all that Amber is not moving forward or correcting the situation but I think he needs to find Amber Sharma first ..he needs to remember he is more than Nias dad

do you guys remember when Amber realized he was in love with Guneet and all of a sudden his character changed to a teen in love ...Many didn’t like that sudden change and felt it was out of character

here it’s the same ...I think of all of a sudden he did a 180 and told Nia to butt out and became pro Guneet it would look so fake and ruin his journey

he has realized he hurt Guneet ...he knows he was wrong but now he doesn’t know how to rectify it. On top of that Guneet slapped him and basically told him to F off. So how can he go after someone who he thinks hates him? I haven’t seen Guneet express what she feels about Amber ? Does she like him at all? Does she have feelings for him ?

we are pushing Amber to go after Guneet but no one has paused to see what Guneet wants? Does she want Amber as her life partner ?

It's just the nature of serials to drag things out. And this isn't a typical serial where they can just throw in a new vamp or random tragedy whenever they start to run out of story. There have been many times that Ambar has been unreasonable and interfered with things that would've made Nia happy. Now the roles are reversed. The frustrating thing as a viewer is to see practically zero character growth after so many episodes. Ambar and Nia have still not learned how to stand up to each other. They mistake being overly controlling of each other as protectiveness. Furthermore, Nia doesn't know Guneet like Ambar does, and like you said she's not aware of the whole situation. She is only looking at her dad's emotions in this, not Guneet's (which is why it's rather ironic she called Guneet selfish). That's why they need a neutral party to help nudge things in the right direction because they are all far too stubborn to do so themselves. I believe that's where Rishi comes into the picture.

That is a good point. He has no idea what Guneet's feelings for him are. He knows she is a romantic, and NDP was like a dream for her. He also knows he is very far from what she considers ideal. Just how it was shocking for him that Guneet is BM, it is shocking for her. Ambar immediately jumped to Guneet's online personality being fake, and said hurtful things about her. It took time to see that she is the same person. He had the benefit of having a chance to come closer to her and know her, but Guneet was forced out of the house almost immediately. There is no reason for her to feel anything for Ambar other than betrayal. From Guneet's point of view this is all rather bewildering. A man that expressed nothing but dislike and miserliness towards her, all of a sudden he is lavishing attention, spending money on her, and says he loves her. She probably hasn't even begun to reconcile Ambar with NDP in her head. We haven't seen Guneet's thoughts at all, because unlike Ambar she had no confidant to confess to. Hopefully this will change with the entry of Jhanvi. Let's see if the radio show reveals anything about Guneet's feelings towards Ambar.
