Friend MP, I generally know what i'm talking about. 😆 Please reserve the word games for someone else.

As I'm sure you understood, angst rings hollow when there's nothing to angst about as I said in the part of the post you chose not to quote.

God bless.

I said he succeeded despite all the negatives IN HIMSELF. Whoever gets backsides on the seats is a star. No question.

Whereas others (like SSR) have gone through deliberate sabotage. If Karthik has, he hasn't spoken about it. Why would anyone assume he has until proven otherwise?😆

So any angst from Karthik re: nepotism rings hollow because he got where he did in eight short years. That is not a long time for someone without talent, looks, or connections to reach his level of stardom. Akshay Kumar could tell you.

Angst about nepotism from an outsider rings hollow?! If Kartik can't, then let's just invalidate the struggles of every outsider including SRK, Akshay, Ayushmann, Taapsee, Bhumi, Kriti, list goes on....

How about you quote the full post😆 where I mentioned all these outsiders?

If you think life should be without struggle, I have a bridge in New York City I can sell you.

My point was Karthik got where he is fairly quickly and easily considering his other negatives.

So yeah, nepotism cry from his really rings hollow because it didn't harm him any. Basically it seems to be "starkids are as untalented as me; why are they getting chances while I'm not."

In case of some of the other outsiders you mentioned, it's, "starkids are nowhere near as talented as me, and not only do they get more chances, their support system actively sabotages me so I don't get a chance to compete."

Like it or not, there is a huge difference.

Everyone has struggles and different life journeys. It's not fair to invalidate anyone's struggle especially when you don't know what they've gone through.

Again this is your personal opinion on his talent clouding your words. The audience clearly disagrees with you regarding his talent so yes he can say that he is talented and still didn't get chances. PKP and PKP2 success clearly proved that.

Kartik did not get anything quickly though.. he debuted two years before Sushant and wasn't given even a least bit of attention for years till PKP2.. Sushant got success right front his first movie.. he was counted among promising newcomers from his debut..

His struggle has its merit and whatever view he gives for or against nepotism has as much weightage as Sushant's might have had

Kartik learned the trade soon after his success.. Sushant too tried the formula.. he too tried to fit in but his personality got in the way while Kartik managed to make the transition successfully.. this does not mean that he had an easy journey of his stand on how the industry works is hollow

Your contention is success = talent?

If that's the case, then really, Salman Khan and Akshya Kumar should be counted among the most talented in the history of Indian cinema.

Karthik clearly has star quality.

Both Sushant and Kartik struggled at every step.. to say that Kartik got anything easily or quickly is laughable since it took him 8 years to even get noticed after his debut.. the stage Kartik is at today is the same Sushant had during Dhoni..

Amitabh Bachchan (talented) debuted in 1969 and was considered failed in spite of successes until 1973 and Zanjeer

Madhuri Dixit (looker, dancer, at least moderately talented) debuted in 1984 and struggled for 4 years before Tezaab.

Juhi Chawla (looker, not-so-great dancer, above average actress) debuted in 1986. QSQT was a huge hit, but she got no attention. Rakesh Roshan even commented on it. It wasn't until 1992 that she started getting recognition.

SRK (above average actor when he chooses to be, okayish dancer, not a looker) debuted in 1988 on TV. Had success with Deewana and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. Still wasn't accepted. Went on to make a mark with negative roles. Eventually, in 1995 he had several back-to-back hits.

Akshay Kumar (looker, no talent, good dancer) debuted in 1991 with a flop. He got a hit in 1992 with Khiladi. He had a string of successes with teh Kihladi series and was never accepted as A-lister in the 2000s.

Point is that talent should be allowed to survive, not that all struggle should or can somehow go away. We live in a real world where families will always support one of their own.

Karthik succeeded despite the lack of the obvious qualities required in a star. So what exactly is he upset about? That it took him this long? He should be proud of what he achieved, not crying (which *he* didn't do) that it wasn't handed to him.

If there were actual sabotage attempts, he should speak out.
