With regards to people whining about outsiders' movies not being big budget and getting less PR, I agree. But what do you expect? Why should people invest money on people who are unproven? They might spend on their family or friends because they care about them. But why would excessive money be wasted on random people who have not proven themselves? When outsiders come into the industry, they already know what to expect. They are not entitled to rich producers rolling out the red carpet for them. Complaints about low budgets and less PR are invalid because they are not entitled to anything.
If an actor truly connects with the audience, their popularity will keep rising and people themselves will turn him/her into a star. Then they will get all those big budget movies too.
