It’s been one month since Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, but his fans are leaving no stone unturned in keeping Sushant alive in his memories. A family friend has approached the BMC to rename the street in Bandra, where the actor lived after his name to make him a part of the city forever...

Sushant’s family friend Nilotpal Mrinal has approached Aaditya Thackeray and the BMC commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal to rename the street in Bandra, where the actor lived after his name to make him a part of the city forever. Mrinal has also suggested that if not a road, a chowk or a garden near Sushant’s apartment be named after him.

Reportedly, the BMC have directed Mrinal to the officials of the H (West) municipal ward under whose jurisdiction the area falls. Since the officials are dealing with the pandemic situation currently, they have assured Mrinal that they will look into the matter at the earliest.

Sushant's death should have made people realize how important it is to take mental health and depression seriously.. to be more kind and empathetic.. to ensure equal opportunities for all

Youngsters these days are impressionable.. what they will see is suicide makes you more loved and gives you more recognition..

Sushant was unwell.. he had medical condition and needed treatment and help.. he wasn't a martyr.. his death should lead to mental health awareness not naming of roads

I agree, young people will see that sushant is getting more love and attention after he died and that might influence them to god forbid take the same step. Sushant had mental health problems, its better to invest in mental health awareness and treatment rather than demanding streets get named after him, coz it will achieve nothing

Seeing the stuff that is happening after his death is so upsetting, people are missing the point or they are using his death for their own selfish agendas, why can't people just let him rest in peace!

A young man was mentally unwell and committed suicide. But instead of talking about how we as a society can recognize and prevent other such Sushant's from taking such a drastic step we are making him out to be some martyr or freedom fighter or some great Nobel laureate who deserves to be commemorated for history. Sushant has not done anything great by taking his life that he has to be awarded for it.

Who are these people? I am sure his family friends and "real" fans don't want this.

How ridiculous. They want a street named after him because he committed suicide? So the message given out is that you will be loved more in death than life so why not end everything and be martyred.

If you did not deserve a street named after you in life, you don't deserve it in death.
