I think Dharmendra, SRK, Raj Kapoor and Amir Khan, are more stars than actors
Even Amitabh bachchan you feel hes more AB than the character in majority movies but hes good all round actor comedy action emotion etc so he can be on list
Rajesh khanna tooo was more star than actor but hes also more into good cinema like meaningful arty cinema so he can stay there
Instead i will put Irfan Khan, Manoj bajpee, Om Puri
My list will be
1) Dilip Kumar ( because he started method acting, natural acting in indian cinema that AB, Ranbir, Guru Dutt, Ranveer all follow till today. Also with dilip kumar you will forget hes the Dilip kumar you feel hes that character rather unlike AB etc. Also he can do comedy, emotion, action etc all genres successfully )
2) Amitabh Bachchan (all rounder)
3) Sanjeev Kumar (again natural acting watch kamoshi)
4) Naseerudin Shah
5) Balraj Sahni
6) Om Puri
7) Irfan Khan
8) Manoj Bajpee
9) Rajesh Khanna (for movie choosing ability than acting)
10) Amir Khan (for his movie choosing ability than acting chops actually)
For actress its a very big list actually . We had many good actress compared to actors over the years actually. There are many but will list the best
