I have read 2 by shri premchand but i am not sure if these would be viable projects?do you guys know of any hindi novels you would like to be adapted by BW?or any tamil/malayali/bengali etc novels that could be adapted by BW or regional cinema makers?

Also,is there any time period or historical personality or event you would like to see come to life on big screens?something/someone that is important or interesting but forgotten now.

One book series I would love to see either as a web show or movie is The Shiva Trilogy.

Suheldev probably it is written as movie script only.

Also want raj comics to come on big screen.

There are some mystery novels that definitely can be made films.

Are you talking about Munshi Premchand? I recently watched Gaban (1966) and enjoyed it so much that I tracked down the novel by Premchand. The movie had Sunil Dutt as an embezzler and Sadhana as his jewellery-mad wife.Quite an interesting film with grey characters and Hrishikesh Mukherjee made quite a few changes from the original novel.

I haven't read many Hindi books as of yet.

I have read Gaban which I liked very much, Gunaho ka Devta as it was part of syllabus in college. (didn't like this one much though)

Abhimanyu ka Chakravyuh by Keshav Pandit was nice too.

One English novel that I really want to be adapted into a nice thriller movie is Tell me your dreams by Sidney Sheldon 👌

If it is any consolation part of Sidney Sheldon's book Master of the game has been adapted to a Hindi film Diljalaa (1987) with Jackie Shroff and Farah as the leads.Better remembered as that film where Jackie shaves off his mustache. Of course the film gives a lot of reasons to explain away the hero's cruel betrayal of the heroine and leaves the audience with the expected happy ending.
