Loved the dialogues & the cinematography. This really was the first dark Indian fairy tale and wow what a concept. Everyone's acting was top notch. Avinash + Tripti obviously were good but equally good were Rahul Bose, Paoli Dam and the doctor.

They should release it on the big screen, it will be quite an experience. Oh and the music was brilliant.

I did love everything about it except for the depiction of violence and rape. That was painful and horrifying at a different level. Felt disgusted.

But yes, the movie has that quality which makes it linger on your mind for a long time afterwards. Cinematography was exceptional and actors were brilliant.

Exceptional, it was a bit short in my opinion, a mini series would have been better.

I wish they didn't show the rape and violence either. Tripti's expressions made it that much more scary. But I loved it for the overall message and the performances!! 👍🏼

The movie itself was amazing and I loved how beautifully it was shot - the aesthetics and colour palette is gorgeous!

On the story - I cannot understand the critics who are saying it was a weak script - I found it very deep and poignant - yes maybe a bit like Devdas meets Chokher Bali kinda - but it leaves you thinking for long long time. The dialogues are powerful

Acting - ofcourse Tripti in and as Bulbul was just fantastic and I would love to see more of her - what a refreshingly beautiful face with soothing screen presence and acting skills. I love her voice and diction - its not anglo and Sobo like! Thankfully. But along side her, I thought everyone else was exceptional too - Rahul Bose is a veteran, he was chilling as the twin brothers! Paoli Dam - So bloody good! again played vile Binodini too perfection, Avinash - he was terrific in Laila Majnu, the role here i feel dint give him much scope to perform but him and Tripti have this understated charm and soulful chemistry. Parambhrata ☺️ I was dead in that scene where Bulbul and Dr sahab are sharing a cigarette and he admits his feelings for her☺️ From Saarthi in Kahaani to Sudeep <3

Direction - was brilliant IMO. Anvita Dutt has created poetry in motion - it stayed longer with me than SLB movies do.

Tripti’s acting brought it to a different level. She was literally holding the movie on her shoulders with awesome support from others. But I think her each and every scene was brilliant. She has amazing screen presence and her expressions are just wow (one of the best I’ve seen by an actor) and you want to watch more and more of her.
