They left out all the interesting bits. Pretty much glossed over the entire Madhuri episode. Nothing about Tina or Kumar Gaurav who were very supportive during his druggie phase either. Manisha Koirola as Nargis didn't get enough screentime either.Maybe some 10-20 years later we'll get a much more authentic version.

Sonam kinda played Tina, I guess Hirani didnt want to get stuck with libel suits

Sonam played an amalgamation of a lot of girl friends.So much so that she might as well be fictional. Now if her character was shown to be his costar from his first movie who had moved on to an ageing superstar after getting tired of his shennanigans... Libel suits must be taken seriously.I guess part of the reason is that Sanjay is a gentleman at heart and doesn't want to name (or shame) any of his exes. None of his contemporary heroes from that era does either. The 80s heroes all mouthed the "we're just good friends" mantra a lot.

the only good thing about the film is this song which is unique and shows the versatility of sonu nigam and sunidhi chuhan
