Quoting Sushant's words from interviews and using them as some sort of insight into his mind is somewhat baseless in my opinion. Bollywood actors and their answers aren't exactly honest, their talk shows and interactions are mostly superficial to keep up with appearances. For all we know, he might have been trying to showcase that he's not a part of the rat race, like what people say or think doesn't bother him. But it was clearly killing him inside.
