Overhyped-Aloo and the entire Nepo brigade (Ananya, Sara, Jhanvi). Matlab hadd average hain sab. Atleast in Rani/Preeti/Kajol era there were good actresses and then in Kat/DP era there were lookers. Jo bhi tha variation toh thi. Ab toh kisi ko utha k kisi movie mein daal do koi fark nhi padega. Exception: Sonam( she's like a negative number for me, usko jis movie mein daloge the movie's value will decrease and jaha se nikaloge the value will increase)😆

The heroes today still provide you a good range of variation.

Underhyped - Tahir Raj Bhasin,Mrunal Thakur(atleast give her some chances), Avinash Tiwari (he should have won best debut for Laila Majnu, or atleast an honorable mention), Sanya Malhotra, Sohum Shah, Banita Sandhu.

Most of them performed way above average in their debuts and other chances they got. Par zero hype.

In sabko atleast 1-2 decent chances hi mil jaye toh thoda variation ayega entertainment industry mein.

Yes yes, I forgot him to add, he should get more hype and projects, He is doing one with Parineeti though . He is so good not only in acting but he looks good too. Such an underrated guy.

Kartik's hype I just don't get. Not saying he's a bad actor, I actually haven't seen much of his work. But I just don't see what the x-factor is, seems ordinary to me 🤔

Tapsee has had some incredible work, I really liked her work in Thappad, I wouldn't say she's under or over rated tho, maybe just the right amount of rated hahah

Overhyped:

1. Tara Sutaria- One film wonder till date. What so special about her.

2. Disha Patni

3. Jacqueline Fernandez

4. Tiger Shroff- Only thing he does his showing his body in the movie

Underhyped

1. Vidya, Parineeti and Sonakshi- Dress well and loose weight.

2. Rajkumar Rao

3. Boys from Stree. Loved their comedy

4. Shraddha Kapoor

5.Bhumi- Looking good in a song would not mean god movies

6. Yami and Tapsee- focus on script and commercial success instead of ads

I cannot... for the life of me, get the hype around Ananya Pandey.

Honestly Ananya is largely discussed on social media but her real face value is still much less than Kiara. SM hype doesn't mean it's real.

She has over 12 million followers on insta, which is still nothing compared to Kylie Jenner, the most overrated fake bum of the century, but I digress. I agree that Kiara is much easier on the eyes.

Unfortunately social media is here to stay and the hype it generates can turn a person into a celebrity without any body of work these days. Obviously these pedigree kids are taking full advantage of it and must have dedicated teams to generate social media buzz just to keep them relevant and on the map--more so with repeated exposure than anything else.

I'm not discrediting her insta following but that doesn't turn into tickets sold. You can be a celebrity all you want but as an actor, you have to bring people to the movies. If you look at Ormax or market research that gauges an actor's real reach in that sense, then Kiara is the notably bigger name. Even Sushant had much less following than Arjun before his death but we all know who brought the audiences in by a larger margin. Social media hype/buzz is not the reality.

I understand why Tiger, Kartik are getting hype, their movies are hit and they have build a certain kind of fanbase because of those particular kind of films like Salman, Govinda and many other actors had during 90s.

Alia 's movies are doing good be it in any way, plus, her women oriented movies have been good too. So ,again, I understand the hype behind her.
