Actress Pratiksha Rai, known for her portrayal of Karishma in the popular television show Vasudha, recently surprised her fans by announcing her exit from the show in a social media video. Playing Karishma Was an Emotional Journey

The team was like family, and we shared a lot of laughter between intense scenes. There was so much warmth off-screen. Saying goodbye felt like leaving behind a world I lived in for a long time,” she said.

Pratiksha emphasised that Karishma wasn’t simply born evil — her behaviour was shaped by betrayal, pain, and insecurity. “Karishma wasn’t born negative; it was her circumstances and her own fears that shaped her,” she explained. “I loved her journey because it showed why people become the way they do. What I’ll miss most is her confidence and boldness. She said things others were too scared to say. Her strength, even if misused, made her unforgettable.”

She further noted that negative characters often leave a lasting impression on viewers. “In showbiz, we’ve often noticed that negative characters remain unforgettable for the longest time,” she added.
