Hype I dont get are

Ananya/Sara-What have they done to be hyped? They have nothing to show for their popularity so to say.

Alia- She gets attention for her films doing well, and rightly so. Raazi earning 100 cr over is a big achievement. But I have a problem with the industry acting like she is the best actress to ever exist. She's got a lot of weaknesses as a performer and doesnt match up to the versatality that other actresses in the past who werent hyped as much have been able to achieve.

Underrated:

Lots of them, list is endless.

Yesss! I am so with you on most of these. I DO NOT understand why Karthik is a popular thing right now. I am not against his success. May he grow and choose better work. Bollywood needs more outsiders. But I don't understand why he is popular.

For Taapsee I kind of see it. It's not that she is loved by the masses. When it comes to choosing movies she is sort of a like Ayushmann who is willing to do these roles that most of these other pretty faced feminine actresses won't do. And unlike most actresses she is not chasing commercial success at the moment. She said that she is creating her own path and it's harder in a way because no one is doing it but also sets her apart because no one else is doing it. She is not trying to be ethereal glam queen, trying to showcase how hot or pretty she is unlike every other actress that exists in Bollywood beside Kangana maybe.

Not a fan but I get the Tiger hype. He is good looking compared to his contemporaries and he has found his perfect genre where there is a demand and no actor to fulfill it.

Alia I do not get anymore. She is a decent to good actress. I don't care how she was gifted such great scripts but she has done some great movies. For me Udta Punjab was the best of her works. There are better actresses than her at the moment so while I understand the love she gets for her movies, I don't understand the undying appreciation for her acting. Almost every actress has the capability to act at her level. It's hard for me to praise her for acting when I have seen much better in my lifetime.

For the ones who deserve more love...

I think Ileana is actually gorgeous and she acts well too. It makes me sad she didn't get better roles.

Vikrant is a fabulous actor but I think people just don't know him since he hasn't done any movie that was watched by masses. He needs to do one or two of those so people know his name.

Sushant could've really stayed as one of the most promising actors had he not slipped with those crappy, cringy romantic movies. I think he is trying to go back to his old self. He is an excellent actor and he works hard. I have faith that he will become bigger.

Tahir Raj Bhasin has so much potential and he is refreshing to watch. I hope he gets better roles. As much as I love him he has done little work that showcases his talent.

Yami, Parineeti and Sonakshi all have the same problem. They keep choosing really bad projects that they think will give them commercial success. Sonakshi and Parineeti want commercial success but they do not look like the typical commercial actress. So they keep getting the bad masala flicks. With Yami except for one or two movies, she seems to pick up any project with easy, forgettable roles.

I think these days it is so easy to get lost. So the only people who get hype are the ones who are either shoved down our throats day and night (popular star kids), or the ones who are trailblazers and they have found to fulfill a type of need in Indian cinema that other actors can't fulfill.

Overhyped - Katrina and Priyanka

Rant ahead (My opinion, zaruri nahi sabse match kre):

Overhyped-Aloo and the entire Nepo brigade (Ananya, Sara, Jhanvi). Matlab hadd average hain sab. Atleast in Rani/Preeti/Kajol era there were good actresses and then in Kat/DP era there were lookers. Jo bhi tha variation toh thi. Ab toh kisi ko utha k kisi movie mein daal do koi fark nhi padega. Exception: Sonam( she's like a negative number for me, usko jis movie mein daloge the movie's value will decrease and jaha se nikaloge the value will increase)😆

The heroes today still provide you a good range of variation.

Underhyped - Tahir Raj Bhasin,Mrunal Thakur(atleast give her some chances), Avinash Tiwari (he should have won best debut for Laila Majnu, or atleast an honorable mention), Sanya Malhotra, Sohum Shah, Banita Sandhu.

Most of them performed way above average in their debuts and other chances they got. Par zero hype.

In sabko atleast 1-2 decent chances hi mil jaye toh thoda variation ayega entertainment industry mein.

Ananya Panday don't get it, so overrated. Along with Tiger.

Underhyped: Vikrant, Radhika Madan, Bhumi & Tahir

Overhyped : Kartik Aryan, Ananya Pandey, Tiger Shroff, Kangana Ranaut, most of kjo camp bimbos and bimbettes 🤭

Underhyped : Pranutan Behl, Vidya balan, Vikrant Massey, Nawazuddin S.

Priyanka. If she was so versatile she wont be so terrible in romcoms.

Irfan khan - he was great in certain roles but limited.
