Modern bindis are like a velvety sticker and you're correct, it's an accessory. But, for some it holds religious significance...so a lot of married women wear red bindis. So, in the olden days when widows were treated like crap...they were forced by traditions to stop dressing up to look pretty & were told to wear white only. So, they would also stop wearing bindis, bangles, etc.

True...I just meant that I need to be serious from Day 1 and not procrastinate...I can't make the same mistakes I made in undergrad...my laziness gets the best of me. True...now my education is more than just a GPA...I'm studying for my future patients because they are going to walk in trusting that I know what I'm doing and that I'll make them better 😃 but I'm still a little nervous...

Hope things have changed for good...now.........such in human attitude..........

I think it has...maybe rural area still think this way but society has come a long way...people are getting rid of old traditions that are regressive
