I made the comment based on the young kids working in my organization.. :) I haven't seen any of Alia's movies except 2 states..

Of course you point out the only film of her filmography where she hasn't a lengthy role. How about the 13 other films?

It wasn't a lengthy role but it's was a good role in one of the best film of 2019.

And let's not even talk about her being nominated for lead actress and winning all the awards for this role.

The fact here is that Kjo has suggested all the directors about Alia and they had to cast her as the lead instead of those other actors who were being considered for those roles. Alia never really had to give real auditions to get those roles. Hence it was never the audience who made her no. 1, coz they went to the theatres for the sake of the movies as she mostly managed to get the best scripts, a few were exceptions except Shandaar and Kalank. Her movies were heavily promoted as well, that was another plus point for her. She always got movies on the platter. So don't make audience responsible for this, rather point out finger towards the dirty politics that people like Kjo always do.

This is why Alia's work will never truly be appreciated nor given credit, it was handed to her on a silver platter. Kjo in the beginning basically threw her down our throat and it was so so so blatant. Like everyone basically admitted "yeah Karan called me and suggested(pushed) Alia or Dharma agreed to produce the film"

She will always be the face Nepotism in Bollywood, no one easily gets the acclaimed directors role like that.

Toh topic kyun khol raha hai, agar audience abhi bhi love karta hai toh.

Wow the stupidity of some so called fans. Sure Alia was offered SOTY because of her talent, screen presence, perseverance 😆 Nothing to do with her Papa and their connection with producers. Also just like she was offered her lengthy, tailor made roles in Highway and other two movies same year after her disastrous and mediocre acting in SOTY. She might be a good actor and thats because she was given perfect roles in dream projects since day one. While others start slowly, do cameo roles or just be side kick and learn on the job.. She has it really easy. She can offered to make mistakes, can have back to back flops because these nepo kids already have movies lined up. Audience dont love her.. Only people who can't appreciate real talent, charisma, beauty will go after her. Audience got no choice as she is literally shoved down their throat with her movies..

And let’s not forget “access” to resources. Karan Johar gets her acting coaches, dance teachers and diction teachers. Remember someone said how she has started acting and speaking like KJO those same naak charana facial expressions and waving hands. Now Janhvi, Sara and Ananya are trying to follow the same path.

nepo betiyan get the platter and actresses like Parineeti, Shraddha , Taapsee etc get things taken away from them.
