These are not such high-minded or esoteric quotes that nobody would know them. It's just that the Indian media is composed of fools. Whoever the author is is trying so hard to sound smart and making the same joke 50 times. But this is the state of the audience nowadays too. Expertise is dead and intelligence is mocked. Everyone is called pseudos if they attempt to rise above the usual filth. Stupidity is glorified. That's how people like Trump get elected because people think dumbness is real and smartness is fake and pseudo.
