Nepotism : a very grey area, not black or white

Nepotism as i understand is a very grey area.

It does not start with signing of movies or launching of star kids, it starts quite early. Film business or film families grow up together, it is all an emotions of choosing someone you know rather than an unknown person. Knowing someone personally and giving them a chance gives one an upper hand in the relationship, a power play of kind. Film circles will revere you more, star families flocking to your parties, celebrating you for being a godfather.

I think people who get movies because of lineage get benefits of firstly , getting the movie because of their surname and then getting sustained opportunities to thrive in an environment. They have family money to sustain a good pr and can always hang out with the successful buddies to stay in news. It is difficult for the outsiders to maintain all that charade , unless they come from a loaded family. And then all the lobbying and negative blinds to weaken the other side

But the thing is movies are businesses, not a govt funded schemes , that will promote equality.

For kjo to take someone other than alia or kareena in a movie, he will have to conduct extensive search, groom them , spend money on pr for extra buzz. If taimur is already a celebrity and is bound to attract people , why would kjo or any other ph want to put extra effort ?

It is like if i want to buy chocolate i would buy from a shop that is easier for me to go to or even online, do i think of the poor shopwala who has choti dukaan?

And thanks to such mentality we have to tolerate actresses like Jhanvi. If she were not Sri's daughter, she would not have even gotten a side role in a B grade movie.

What mentality. Kindly elaborate?

She is Sri's daughter , people would be curious to know if she has the potential but then there are quite lots of people who could have done better job in dhadak.
