In suryaputra karna shisupal attempted rape on draupadi during rajasuya yagna in order to destroy d yagna by forcing Pandavas 2 hit him , but karn protected Draupadi.

Just read the story and my expression is 🤢🤢.

I mean who wrote this. It's so pathetic to show Draupadi as a woman who only wants sex 🤢 and Arjun not a hero.

I don't see her Draupadi a mahan character , I see her as grey character . U see her as mahan character & others r idiot good for nothing .

I not blaming Draupadi , she was very well aware of Yudi's all activities including his addiction. She was very well aware what was happening in whole kingdom .

Lord krishna donated slave grls not staked them like Yudi

Now as u have dragged Subhadra unnecessary , started calling me a hater , thou I admit I don't like Draupadi but they doesn't mean I hate her , it does matter what u think for me, it will not stop me writing my views.

Citation, please.

I actually didn't call you a hater 🤣, but without providing citation when you make such claims... yeah, the shoe fits.

Regarding slavery I had doubt which was cleared by others.

Citation that Yudhishtira staked slave girls before

Citation that Panchali knew it

Citation that Panchali knew human staking was happening before she herself was lost.

šŸ˜‚ Do provide the above.

Forget Karna even Duryodhan's death has been glamouised to the core. Yes he gave a good fight to Bheem but that was because they got into one to one mace fight, he had actually fled the battlefield for the day since he couldn't sustain the injury in regular duels

They all died the death which Kshatriyas aim for and that too at the later fifties.

To be honest I don't consider that to be a punishment for their crimes but at least something is better than nothing

i agree to this too. it was a battle for land and throne.

if dury and karna died so did abhimanyu and his brothers. where was the justice. i dont see it

No

The original post said Draupadi knew about slaves in Indraprastha and didn't try to stop them, that's why I replied that slavery was a norm, we can't judge her from today's standards

A dharma raj yudhishthira use 2 stake thousands of female maid in his dice game during his rule in indraprastha even he was ok with slavery , that 2 full knowledge of Draupadi, she never tried to stop him .

My mothers says Draupadi & Pandavas were not as ideal as they r projected in tv serials but still they were better than kauravs in many ways.

@Nora

I'm doing this only because posts like the one quoted (not yours) spread misinformation. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bothered.

The member simply made this claim when the text says nothing of the sort.

With this wealth, O king, I will stake with thee!'"

Yudi staked serving girls

I don't know whether Draupadi knew about it or not

so how was he diff from dury. he staked women and he staked his wife a woman too. He was wrong only because he staked his wife what about other women?

Quoting again because this has been true since time immemorial.

From Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions (Author: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie): "But here is a sad truth. Our world is full of men and women who do not like powerful women. We have been so conditioned to think of power as male that a powerful woman is an aberration. And so she is policed. We ask of powerful women: Is she humble? Does she smile? Is she grateful enough? Does she have a domestic side? Questions we do not ask of powerful men, which shows that our discomfort is not with power itself, but with women. We judge powerful women more harshly than we judge powerful men.
