MISHNAL PROGRESSION

so many of AT members are annoyed with MISHNAL equation and how come they became sweet-devar bhabhi when kunal never liked MISHTI...

here is my view on them and their equation...

Mishti and Kunal , first met as strangers and then rishta swap,Mishti wanted a marital courtship but for Kunal its like a deal. He was never in that courtship.

Kunal just wants truth in his relation with Mishti but never tried to know her, he only made sure what he expects from her and he wants his would be wife to do that, but he took his decisions with ever he saw and heard.

Kunal knows the pain of heart break so he never wanted Mishti to undergo it, so whenever Meenu hinted to break the rishta, Kunal never wanted to do it, even if it can be his life worst decision too.

Kunal even took decision of announcing GD with MSIHTI, just because he heard taunts of aunty’s to MISHTI’s family, without even consulting Abir or Meenu.

Mishti procceded the rishta even after what ever she liked is of Abir’s gestures but not Kunal’s, she wanted to go ahead with kunal but when Mishti got to know , Kunal never trust her and she needs to prove him, Mishti couldn’t take it and said whatever she felt. She never insulted Kunal nor she want it to happen in front of all but it happened.

Its just his male ego or I can heart break of previous GD never allowed him to register Mishti’s words of why she is not going ahead.

The fight with Abir, when he confronted Kunal and Meenu,made to think Kunal that Abir is fighting with his own family for THE GIRL who rejected his Nanko and due to that GIRL’s father his MOM got hurt.

Kunal felt bad that Abir is not his side , for kunal ,Abir being his side is more important than anything. Shwet plan worked out on making BHAI- BHAI alag and Kunal understood Abir’s feelings for Mishti and thought the girl who rejected him cant be good for his BHAI or she is just using Abir and his feelings.

Kunal started fake love drama just to insult Mishti everytime, right from get together, boutique , E-mail and haldi are his first steps and he very well know what he did with Mishti and how he is with his mom in all this.

After kuku shaadi, Mishti tried to make kunal understand what he is doing is not correct and she is not in between them and she wont even come in between them but Kunal insulted Mishti for Abir’s fall, asked Abir to choose between him and Mishti.

Kunal knows Abir will listen to Mishti and only she has capability of stop him but he never want to take her help, when Mishti bought baba, Kunal hated it as Meenu is hurt and Abir is going far from them, so she burst at Mishti when Abir insulted Meenu.

Kunal always considered Mishti as trouble maker , so he said to Meenu that he is keeping everything at stake just to protect his family and hurt Mishti in a bad way.

Kunal gave divorce papers to kuhu, so that Mishti’s parents reject Mishbir rishta but Meenu fixed it, to show his anger he gave prenup papers under influence of Mehul, but when Meenu said she is loosing Abir and only Mishti can stop him, Kunal is ready to forget everything and ready to accept Mishti for his bhai.

On card ceremony when Abir broke rishta, only Kunal asked him why he did that, will this decision change or will he stick to it? As he experienced heart break already, he don’t want Abir to go trough it nor he is happy to see Mishti like that.

Story took a leap...

Kunal only concerned is his bhai and for that he can insult Mishti again as his brother is hurt.

When got to know his birth truth he is devasted and he learnt form the person whom he hate. Later he realised the intention of Mishti spilling it out but never acknowledged it, Parul made him realise that Abir left Mishti just to protect him.

At that moment, Kunal realised Abir still has feelings for Mishti and even she too have feelings for him like before. He stood for Abir and his love as his insecurity of Abir never choose him over Mishti is gone and he understood he is secure with his brother by his side.

Right from Roka to marriage, Kunal stood for both Mishbir,he gave mental strength and support to them, in roka he made a way for Abir and took stand against BP, sangeet he asked Abir as he is sure of Mishti listening to him or not, Mehendi he said if didn’t spike the drink it could never been in this situation and he said to Abir, Mishti is choosing her family but she still loves him, he gave the idea of telling truth of their break up and helped Mishti to reach him, haldi he gave emotional support to Mishti , asked Abir not to let go Mishti and even spoke to MAH to stop this wedding and finally on wedding he believed Mishti on Abir's where about's and stood with her, he even went against Meenu when she insisted to follow her but he said he trust Mishti when it comes his bhai.

During Mishbir wedding…

Kunal made sure Mishti gets all her rights, from talking with Abir or asking her about theme, he started his way with Mishti and always gave importance to her.

He even asked mandap from Mishti and he knows how important its for Mishbir but he asked and both of them with out any argument agreed to him.

He even started teasing his bhabhi and bhai romance and complaining Mishti about his bhai.

The one who is against them asked him bhai to help his bhabhi and asked helped her during shivratri and understood the pain of a wife, when her husband is ill.

He gave his own company to him just to rectify his behaviour towards her and he complained about his wife subtly but never took a word against his wife from her.

He asked how she felt when she knows with whom she is staying is not her family but adopted family, is it good or not to accept his mother, but Mishti said her opinion and the difference of her parents and his mother.

During resort fiasco too, he took Mishti side and explained well to Abir and kuhu. He even made both of them realise what went wrong and how Mishti cant take a word against Abir even he himself make mazaak of him.

He always made sure that his bhai and bhabhi are together and he is always making a bridge between them to hold them with one another ashe know mishti never said a word to him after break up truth nor judged him for being son of parul.

kunal knows what he did with Mishti more than anyone in the show, right from their first meet to till last episode before lock down...

so, when he know Mishti can never hate him nor judged him for his actions, then why cant he redeem his deeds when knows that he is at fault.

He started his relation with Mishti for his brother but he gradually understood what their love for each other and how she cant take anything against Abir.

Personally I feel at first when he came to know d truth of d break up he felt guilty dat his brother sacrificed for him , so he helped abir . After dat when he saw dat even after knowing d reason for breakup mishti neither judged him nor said her family ABT his birth , which she could huv done ,dat would huv make it easy for her n abir but she didn't do any thing like dat . Which I guess changed his perception ABT her

I would like to highlight here about Kunal -Abir conversation during HOLI episode about earring

Wali where kunal was very much eager to meet his brothers love and he kind of wanted to build his relationship with his to-be sister in law which was his long time wish taking cues from all his discussions with abir and his family whenever there was a mention about Abir's To be wife.

So basically it's his hurt ego which made him resent abir and mishti's relationship and his growing insecurity turned him blind towards the actual emotions lying underneath abir and mishti actions, now when he understood to what extent his brother can go to secure his (kunal) well being keeping his own emotions and needs at bay, sacrificing his love made him realise the fact and in turn made his insecurities subside.

Finally, Now it's all starting afresh, he's to his old self and hid fondness for his devar -Bhabi relationship is back and is in full action thus taking steps to rectify his past mistakes and rebuilding the rapport with mishti 😳

Beautifully written ruhi, makes us all to see how far these two have come ! Their relationship has taken a wonderful turn , it's good to see them on balanced terms rather than at opposite terms , kushti se kab mishnal ban gaye , pata hi nahi chala !

While reading your post , some things came in my mind which makes me wonder is the bond really that deep that you are trying to portray? I have a few points to make and this is not really my attempt to start a debate but just explaining my side , since I am also one of the AT member who criticised the too sweet too soon mishnal bond !

1. I don't really think kunal did give a thought on mishti revealing his birth truth and apologising for it or not , all he was concerned about what really abir thinks about it , the turning point for him came , when abir confronted him for nishant's drink and said you can't really be my brother , at the same time parul revealed to him how abir let mishti go and choose kunal making him realise the love and concern his brother has fot him , I remember he was really stressed with abir's "tu mera bhai nahi ho sakta " statement and after a long thought , he sent a sorry message to abir which abir ignored , later when he saw meenu threatening abir, he decided to take a stand for his brother and support him ( a gesture to apologise to him for what he had done) , it was his moment to be abir nanko's again and he started supporting misbbir solely because of that....this explains the stands he had taken for abir in front of mahs family during the nishmish shaadi sequences , he did it only when he saw his brother falling weak and short of words , nothing more nothing less , though he became neutral towards mishti but not more than " mishti hamare life mein hum jo chahte hai zaruri nahi ke vahi ho , lekin jo hota hai vo sahi hota hai " ...that's all !

2. The company was not given by his own choice , that was something that meenu asked him to do so and since for kunal, meenu and abir have been their top most priorities , he did what he was asked too , if kunal was really in for a thought to do something for mishti, he would have done it himself right? And would not really take it back when mishti returned the papers! Neither he said I am really willing to work with you even though she returned the company, its absolutely clear the company thing came only because meenu asked him to do so

3. Regarding kunal asking mishti about parul and her parents , why it came as a shocker was because kunal has been really hesitant to speak on the topic , it's mostly with kuhu or abir that he shares these kind of thoughts, that's why the scene gave me an impression of "too sweet too soon " but I do believe that since he has already spoken with abir on this and with kuhu too in the past , he just wanted a perspective from mishti too since he was thinking to take a big decision in public

4. Kunal would have never made an insensible demand to mishti to give away her mandap at first place if he really thought about her at the moment, it was more to take care of kuhu's demands there ...

5. Unlike your presentation of how kunal is the bridge between abir and mishti, I see it as abir being the bridge between mishti and kunal, he is the connecting link here , both kunal and mishti know how much importance they hold in abir's life and many things are forgiven from both the ends for abir's sake only ...I am yet to see how their bond survives if we put abir absolutely out of the picture

6.. The resort thing , kunal started voicing out the truth and explained things to kuhu and abir only when he saw how hurt and weak brother is feeling at the moment and he stopped kuhu when he saw she was going overboard , then he revealed the truth to them on how mishti isn't at fault ..

Again , what I am trying to say is whatever understanding I have of kunal's character , he has meenu and abir as his top most priorities, even parul and kuhu come after that for him so you can really imagine where mishti stands ....

I do see a good progression in their side though but yes certain things looked forced to me for sure

Nevertheless I am happy to see them on good terms though ..but I can't really get the mishnal hype

D hype is solely because of performance of rhea and rithvik. Dey barely got 9or 10 scene together out of dat 4 confrontation scenes r Der . Dat 4 confrontation scenes are among d most powerful scene in our show and also among d best performance of both rhea and rithvik . Their every confrontation scenes made them earn praises and how dey trended in Twitter whole day because of their confrontation scenes so naturally ppl wanted some progression in their stand

Are you trying to say that its more performance oriented and and very less of character or story or bond oriented ?

If yes , then it's the exactly the point that I am trying to make, don't misunderstand me , I am very much in favour of mishnal progression here but I wasn't really talking about Twitter but the way this post is written...I am not getting the depth of the bond ...it makes me feel as if kunal's actions post leap were highly inspired by mishti which helped them to establish a smooth bond , I don't really find that, kunal's motivations behind his actions were abir , sometimes meenu's pressure and sometimes to put up with kuhu's demand, I hardly see any personal motivation for him to be in good terms with mishti, hence I don't really find much substance there , that's all ...I am strictly being story oriented.. also I feel for mishnal , the bond was rushed because story vise they wanted to go kubir v mishnal ( fight purpose) hence I found the bond too sweet too soon !

Performance vise , absolutely, loved rhea and ritvik in all the scenes, their confrontations scenes used to bring the best out of them 👏👏 !

the break up truth of abir and mishti no saying why he broke with mishti infront all made kunal to see more of mishti's nature and think of it...

i agree with u..without seeing her kunal want to know about his bhabhi from abir's words and he is ready to accept anyone but meenu's influence, his ego and shwet plan of manipulating things amde kunal blind and didnt even see any thing...he only saw how much abir love mishti and he always wants him to be first for abir, but mishti came first so it hurt him and he shown his anger on mishti...

when truth is out he realised where it went wrong and took his steps for betterment of everyone...

But how I see d story my guess is dat first he was helping mishbir because he felt guilty . Now I feel he is kind of neutral towards her because even after knowing d truth of their break up mishti not even for once argued with abir or held Kunal guilty . She never said d truth to her family which actually would huv helped mishbir . Dat actually changed his perception ABT her . Dat's it

But even now dis bond is dependent on abir . Kunal respect her as a person . Which is evident when he asked ABT d family and acceptance to mishti , it's not ABT bond but ABT mishti as a person who has gone through this . He sees her as a sensible person .

when he was requesting meenu to let go of d incident after dat d conversation between Kunal and mishti he was explaining her to balance between meenu and abir because from now onwards it was mishti's work to lookout for abir

Dan resort incident he supported mishti because he felt mishbir deserve dat vacation after what all dey went through because of him . He doesn't want his brother to sacrifice everything everytime

Well dat's how I perceive their scenes ryt now .the bond between Kunal and mishti is yet to develop . It's just mutual respect for each other
