Padmini Kohlapure in Prem Rog.
Tabu is in the elite category of acting.
I wouldn't dare say anyone is better than her.
Even if my personal favourites are Sridevi and Madhuri.
Tabu's talent is unmatched.
She's lucky because she wasn't as "popular" as the girls in her generation like Raveena and Urmila, or well rounded like Kajol and Karisma - but that allowed her to carve this niche for herself: and she's built up such a delightful Filmography.
Manisha has come close, but she's done such little work in comparison (last 15 years).
Tabu shines in such roles.
Yes, there is. She who should not be named. ☢️
Yes..I also like Kareena.I find her most convincing when it comes to crying scenes of course not the ones where she has gone OTT.But in Heroine and Bodygaurd last scene she was excellent.Only if she keeps it subtle she is the best.

Yes to this.
When she cries in Kurbaan, Jab We Met, Omkara, Heroine etc she is beyond amazing. But sometimes she did go OTT especially in her earlier films, like K3G and MDK in which she was beyond awful.
Agree with Bodyguard - the film itself was atrocious but her performance was stellar. Even in Ra.One when SRK dies and that gorgeously sad song "Bhare Naina" she emotes the anguish and sadness beautifully. 2011 was an underrated year for her.

Hai na..She nailed it in all those scenes u mentioned like a boss. And she is someone who looks stunning when she cries.
@bold..That is why I mentioned that she goes OTT too many a times. And so she suffers too..sometimes even her good performances gets ignored. But when she is good she is phenomenal.
I had actually meant Kangana 😛
Why does he not take on roles where he plays the leads dad/older brother? Similar to what Kader Khan was for him in the 90's. That's surely...
So many I can name that qualify for stiff and sleepwalking characteristics: - Queen Aishwarya Rai - Katrina Kaif - Deepika Padukone - Jahnvi...
