On a total side note, I watched a random old regional show and it was so so good!! Ofc I did see some episodes.

Then ofc the triangle popped up, but what an awesome triangle, no one turned villain.

It was FL, ML and other guy. So the other guy was ofc interesting, and FL does breakup with the ML and feels, she should go with the other guy, and he gives her a reality check to see how much ML is doing for her, and go back to him... and they can stay good friends. So all 3 ended up being good and normal characters.

Warna our Hindi shows, khali fukat guy would have turned villain, bad intentions and what not...

That's great! See this is what I keep talking about that have a definite story and show people as they are. Don't dubofy someone in white/black paint.

I would be honest, Nazar itself had a lot of problems in particular tracks so all of us have taken breaks from time to time. In fact some episodes I am watching now and I am like - what the hell? Because Ansh was written with such amazing character traits but they made him an idiot and kept glorifying MoVed; Not to mention the extreme butchering post leap. Basically I give Nazar the credit for the love story portion. It's one of the very few shows where I have actually seen progression in a couple and they emerged victorious.

With glorification, they destroyed the Daayan/Nazar part.

I didn't put it in Wattpad because to gain popularity in Wattpad you need to share the story as much as you can. Plus it's an international platform so considerably underrated couples' story doesn't get view. Jitna bhi keh lo, thodi to complex aa hi jaati hain jab aap dekhte ho kisi aur story ka 10K view hain even if it's horrible but has a popular couple but yours isn't crossing 100.

To waha nahi dala. Bas IF mein hi daal dia. Aur Wattpad mein coloring nahi aati. Yaha pe aa jata hain. To dikhne main accha lagta hain. 😊

Ahem ahem! Guys! There was something I wanted to discuss with you.

As you guys know, all of us have Tyagofied our Moh-Maya regarding Nazar and I am back to my Bhatakti Aatma self. I’ve gotta say, I am enjoying it as in some of the forums I have seen people talking about various issues and the pandemic and actually discussing everything politely. There’s no fan war and nothing and it’s amazing.

I was bhatkofying in Gudaan Forum and liked how the members were expressing their views about upcoming leap and all but one comment hit me. It was something like there were so many other things they could show like the FL’s problem regarding career and a possessive ML.

Now I am not talking ill about the member. He/She had many valid suggestions and I actually liked those. But the possessive ML thing just struck me.

Why is it so necessary to become POSSESSIVE? Yes, we all tend to become possessive about our family, friends and loved ones but this can’t be a positive indicator, in my opinion. I mean, I feel it’s one of the negative aspects of loving someone extremely which we try to keep in control as our loved ones assure us about their loyalty and we try to overlook the negative aspects.

But it has been going on since forever that POSSESSIVENESS is a strong indicator. Why? I am not discriminating against it based on gender. A person is a person. He/she is not his/her partner’s proud possession in the first place.

Madhura here had shared an amazing interview of Ekta and Gul. And as I was watching it, I felt even they are not wrong in their places because no matter how modern we have become or we perceive about our evolution,certain taboos, certain patriarchic belief are still stuck with us. We do find a certain amount of beauty in sufferings and yearning too and that’s why the story tellers introduce that in their shows. I very much respect their opinion and stand.

But I was thinking, as viewers, we should give them the assurance that even we have modified and they can experiment.

Now, life is not a bed of roses. Married couples face problems be it financial or other things and they learn to tackle it together.Now why not talk about such issues? People evolving with situation. Like Phil and Claire of Modern Family. Now I know it was basically under comedy genre so they never got too serious but they have shown so many phases in their married life and their insecuirity and then their issues as parents.

Why don’t we move to the phase where we can say yes, there is happy ending for everyone and after that, people may struggle but struggle doesn’t necessarily mean you have to split up or become possessive or doubt on the person who has been with you through thick and thin.

I think it’s time we deviate from the concept that pain in love is precious and rather focus on, when you are in love, you and your partner can survive that and come out as better person or you could break apart to find your suitable partner. But multiple marriages and multiple separation to keep showing the yearning – it should change now.

Now, first and foremost, I never understood this concept of a possessive ML. I still don't understand how people enjoy watching all this... They love to see the FL getting attention and ML becoming possessive for her. And they also enjoy FL's getting jealous when they see the ML getting the attention of women... Why??

Yes, we all are kind of possessive and protective about our family members but this 'Possessive' thing always bugs me.

I mean, okay, you love your partner but possessive puts it sometimes in the wrong light. In fact, I have seen many fans (mostly ladies) enjoying talking about the scenes where the ML gets jealous/possessive for no reason because he sees the FL talking to some other guy. In fact, whenever a love story starts between a couple, the first thing the fans are interested to see is if the ML is going to be possessive for his partner or not!!!

I mean come on!! It's not that the FL's life will revolve around just the ML? If she has a job, she will have colleagues and friends? To kya unse saare contacts break kar de?? Should he/she isolate himself/herself??

Now, both the genders show possessiveness but it is mostly the possessiveness of the ML for the FL is highlighted...cos very rarely do we come across the FL's in ITV who are possessive about their partners.

Yes, they are shown jealous when some woman bestows her attention on the ML but they aren't shown possessive or obsessive.

Isiliye, mostly people talk about the possessiveness of the ML for his lady and not the other way round. Still, it applies to both. A person is not someone's personal possession that no other person has a right on...

I do agree with you... No matter how modern we have become, certain taboos and patriarchal beliefs are still stuck with us and don't know till how long will they remain stuck with us...

And yes, if both the partners are unable to survive the problems and cope up with the tension in their lives, they can break apart to find a suitable partner...

Of course, multiple marriages and yearning for the partner while in relation with another one should definitely change now.

About technicalities, if I could, I would give the maker a giant hug because the scenes were perfectly in sync with the lyrics and even though I don't know about it, it must be extremely difficult to merge two different videos which he/she had done in one scene where Mauli and Aditya were shown face to face. So the merging and everything has been on point! 👍🏼 👍🏼 👍🏼

Couldn't agree more! The word POSSESSIVE makes me remember POSSESSION and a person be it male or female, isn’t a toy that someone can OWN him/her.

Now I get the jealousy part. Because let’s face it,you are going somewhere with your bestie and suddenly another classmate pops up and starts talking, you would get jealous no matter how insignificant that is.But you also know that a person has so many people in his/her life and you can’t hog all the space.

I understand the difference in the dynamics but still;even if you are the most important person in your partner’s life, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have anyone else in her life and you get a ticket to show your OWNERSHIP on her.

I agree with you, unfortunately most of the female fans want this sort of ML and I seriously don’t know what’s so HOT about it. What gives DV the authority to CLAIM HIS RIGHT? How is that romantic? There is a vast difference between becoming the center of someone’s life and forcing her to show complete submission which is the actual literal meaning here. Because can’t a FL have a job or other priorities that she has to attend your needs all the time?

Other points you have mentioned about marriage and actually making it clear to the story tellers that we want change – totally agree with you.

See, while I know it’s business and they have to cater what people like, I can’t help but feel they need to take some initiative too.

I don’t think someone said to Disney Production that we are bored with romance so show us sisterly love.

The change has taken place over decades, literally.

Since 1940’s Sleeping Beauty to 2010’s Frozen, there has been significant gap but the modification has also been slow so that people don’t feel it occurred just like that. They have adjusted it slowly but I am glad that my niece or someone her age don’t say they want a prince charming.Rather they want to become like Elsa or Moana.

This idea that we have that you have to suffer in love, this thing has been written over and over again by legendary writers.

So I believe, even if it’s a slow process, creative personnel should initiate the change so that our next generation don’t grow up to become pseudo feminist.

Business is important but make 1 out of 10 shows differently and start a trend. It would be slow but at least we’ll have some hope that someday, this tragic idea will fade.

I don't know why but now I am feeling a bit skeptical. Don't tell me Rohit from KHKT because that's one of the worst MLs I have known in recent time. But then again 90% of the recent MLs frustrate me with their characteristics.

Yes, true! But point is we need to connect the song with the couple, and scenes. Plus as I said, I prefer not to repeat songs for a VM unless connect or lyrics are too apt, hence could not use. I feel it's the perfect song even for crossovers.

Hi5 in terms of not liking, but unlike you lately I find all characters messed up, 🤣like earlier I could atleast say okay, here the ML has a great character, FL has or both have, but recent case was none had. Or if a few had they're butchered for whitewashing others.

Infact before seeing the VM, even I got this fear and it's right! She had done a crossover on Rohit and Mauli. Like a worst character and a best character, even in terms of Doctor, the insult the show did to the field. Also the concept of a crossover is actually, 2 actors having potential, you club them or 2 characters which have potential and you would love to see their story, for me it's a blend. But no offense in this case, second point is void cos Rohit, and first point, they have great potential together, and they did an episodic which was interesting.

Like for me, I would love to do a crossover on Adi and Vividha, cos I felt Pankhuri to be mahan to infinity, where A started losing his essence, and a kinda biased thing, but V would actually make him grow, like both would enjoy and have responsibilities, and a connect.
