So you are looking for Urdu Hindi .. Hmm its good to listen / very poetic - just like so many other versions of Hindi .. Though I prefer Hyderabadi Hindi ..😆

Its the exact same thing. 😆

Interesting topic. I, for one, appreciate how Urdu words are pronounced. I understand in India it's not always the 'followed' way, but that's ok, to each their own. I just it off when I listen to words with 'z' being replaced with 'j' etc. Older movies were better at the diatini (read: black and white), but these days I'd be happy if English words were pronounced correctly.

If you listen to old songs of Mohammed Rafi you'll notice that he always pronounces the 'kha' with an extra emphasis. Other than him, I've not noticed any of the singers place any extra emphasis on the 'kha'. I'm always looking up the urdu terms in the lyrics here

In India many can actually correctly pronounce Z from J. E.g. they'll say ज़मीन (Zameen) and not the incorrect जमीन (Jameen). Similarly they'll correctly pronounce F from Ph, as in फ़िल्म (Film) and not फिल्म (Philm). I think it is because of these sounds introduced by English letters F and Z.

Which is why if you go to rural areas they'll say Jameen and Philm, as they aren't as aware of these sounds.

There are no letters for the Arabic Kha and Ghain in English. Which is why I think anyone not aware of these sounds cannot make the distinction.

I used to pronounce Zee as जी and Zoya as जोया but actually it's ज़ी and ज़ोया
