Cyclone Amphan, is the most intense cyclone - the second super cyclone - which has been formed in the Bay of Bengal after 1999. Its wind speed in the sea right now is 200-240 kmph. - TOI
Categorised into CAT5 SuperCyclone, traveling at a speed greater than 200kmph, the hurricane is said to cause heavy destruction in this pathway.... In Kerala itself, where the effect was minimal, has recorded a loss of Rs. 147crore in various ways. So, just can't imagine the state of the places which are directly in its pathway. Odisha, Tripura and West Bengal, plus some places of Bangladesh are supposed to be affected the most. Let's all pray that the windspeed gets reduced drastically as it reaches the land and will cause very less destruction.
Those who are reading this and are in the pathway of this cyclone, stay safe and alert. Our Prayers are with you. 🙏
