I read that subadara was actually related to ravan in her last birth she was the only one supported sita during sita's stay in lanka thus she was bless to be born as krishna sister she was a rakshas in her previous birth thats why its say that when arjun push her in the lake/river she turns into a rakshas...i don't know its true or folklore but it was good read about subadara furthermore her sole purpose was to give birth to abhimanyu whose son will be heir to hastinapur royal throne as a king after yudishtir so in my pov arjun-subadara union was also staged by krishna as the time is near for the battle he knew everything and staged everything
