I remember they were supposed to be paired in so many films, but Rakesh Roshan was hestitant b/c he felt Aish would look too old opposite HR. There were some real missed opportunities. But then Dhoom 2 happened and that premise went out the window. I saw that commercial and saw soooo much chemistry. They sizzle onscreen and one of my fav jodis along with SRK-Aish.

Her best ads were with Aamir and HR and they scream chemistry. Glad Duggu-Gullu got at leasat 3 films together but I'm still salty I never got Aamir-Aish onscreen.

I'd much rather have them doing Jodhaa-Akbar and Guzaarish in their 30s than having seen them in Mujhse Dosti Karoge/Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon types in the early 2000s. I think if they did those films, their pairing/chemistry would not be what it is today. Look at Hrithik-Kareena.

There is still so much potential with these two. Something like Mr & Mrs Smith maybe

Hrithik Kareena stopped working due to personal differences and the rumoured affair. I don't think Ash and Hrithik would have such problems.

Besides, I believe Aishwarya's script sense is a tad better than Kareena's so she'd have never done what Kareena did in her earlier movies.
