It totally makes sense for producers to go OTT. In times like these its about survival of the fittest, and the most fitting option is for small-medium budget films to release on OTT platforms.
I agree with ponymo's point about Bollywood-Hollywood films thing. These distributors were the same people crying when the lost money because of Kalank and then gave all the shows to Avengers Endgame to recoup their money.
