This actress could have nailed it damn sure

I agree but not just her. Deepika, Alia, Vidya, Anushka, Kareena, Priyanka, Parineeti all would have been outstanding and possibly brought even more layers and depth to the performance.

But I do think Sonam ticked all the boxes, I didn't feel there was anything missing in her performance.

KR could have done many roles. I watched Badla and I thought of her the whole time. Taapsee screwed up her part, Kangu would have been amazing!

Kangana would have nailed all the roles Sonam/Taapsee have done and ruined-- including Badla, Thappad, and Ek Ladki Ko Dekha to aisa laga. She would have brought in the nuances required. Kangana is a brilliant actress.

Yes, She would have. But sonam did justice to the role and matched her most closely lookw wise. I personally think Deepika would have been the best option over Kangana. But sonam was good.

Yes. Even Deepika would have done a much better job, Sonam was average and serviceable all thanks to the tight script and director. But Kangana/Deepika/Priyanka would have made it great and better.

Lookwise Sonam was the best choice. And till date Neerja has to be her best performance, so we should give her a pass for that.
