Sonam Kapoor and Yash Chopra inaugurated FICCI Frames 2008, the annual convention of the media and entertainment industry in Powai, Mumbai Tuesday noon, March 25.

The three day event is being attended by over 1500 Indian delegates from the business, media and entertainment industry and 500 foreign delegates.

In his inaugural speech Yash Chopra, shared his serious concerns over the political opposition and vandalism against movies in recent times. Though the did not name any film, his own production Aaja Nachle and UTV's Jodhaa Akbar have been adversely impacted by mindless political activism.

Sonam looked confident and charming sharing the stage with Yash Chopra. She was dressed in a peach color salwar kameez with silver sequin work on the shirt and the dupatta. She accessorized with beautiful gold and pearl drop earrings. Her hair were swept up and tied at the back in a bun.

Sonam, 22, who made her mark in Bollywood with Saawariya will be next seen in Dilli 6 (Filming) directed by Rakeysh Mehra with co-stars Abhishek Bachchan, Om Puri, Waheeda Rehman, Divya Dutta and Amitabh Bachchan.

Thanks for the pics!Sonam is a very lovely girl.

But if she has to compete with the 'IT' girls of the industry- Priyanka,Kareena,Deepika,Katrina,Bipasha and others..she needs a makeover immediately and bit more energy,personality.She seems to be permanently in a state of inertia..

Unless ofcourse she wants to take the Vidya Balan route-old world,typical indian roles....It is very hard to get out of that mould later..After Dilli6 she should make a conscious decision to take on a light hearted role.

Sonam seems to be in awe of Yash Chopra and uncomfortable in his
presence.She has to project herself better as a star!As though she owns the
room and people are gathered around to see just to see HER.
