I guess the Bhai behen angle comes from that close friendship

Like two very close guy friends call each other Bhai

Two girl bff's call each other behen

So two hetrosexual close friends would be Bhai behen. I don't think we should take their friendship as anything different from friends of same gender

I think that krishna-draupadi also had a tinge of devotee-god relation too

Yes! The sublime love between God and the devotee are what Krishna-Draupadi stand for. That is why it becomes tricky to define it in terms of social relationships. That is why Kanha tells her that we are the cosmos and complete together. He says that he is all that is manifested and all that will be manifested and all that is not manifested and she gives meaning to all of this. Without the manifestation, there is nothing and without a meaning, the manifestation can't be life. Even the vacuum is a kind of manifestation. It is all very deep. I feel a transition from Dvaita to Vishishtadvaita to Advaita. All comes from one and all is one and all will merge into one. One gets the feel of Bhakti and it's power in the Bhagwan-Bhakta bond which is eternal.

Ved vyasa often calls drapaudi as sri another name for goddess laxmi. It is said that when vishnu took pashurum s avataar laxmi was born as his father s cow when vishnu was as rama laxmi was sita and when vishnu was krishna laxmi was drapaudi they took these forms that suited their higher purpose.

I don't think Draupadi was lakshmi.Yes she is believed to be mixter of many goddesses and may be it also included Lakshmi but I think most prominent among them was kali maa.And it is not necessary that shri means Lakshmi as we also say shri ganesha so the main meaning of the word is prosperity. And Draupadi is not said to be sita instead she was chaya sita(if u believe in this chaya theory which makes sense with Draupadi as during agni pariksha when real sita came then chaya sita returned back to agni)

Its not that bhagwan ke naam ke piche lagne wala sri. Its a name. Of one of the names of laxmi. And vyasa never calls her mixture if goddess. I am going by the text where he specifically calls her sree. Just like he calls krishna narayan.

I honestly would take all these characters as human and that includes krishna himself. Its just that you raised the point of god and devotee that i mentioned the same vyasa calls both krishna and krishnaa as Narayana and sree

Since we were talking about books.

have you guys read ms drapaudi kuru after the pandavas by trisha das. It is one the most amazing books that everyone should give a try

Synopsis -

Draupadi is bored of Heaven. Yes, it's beautiful and perfumed and perfect, but it's been a few thousand years of the same thing every day. There is only one way to escape: Krishna. He can never say no to her. So she gets her gang of women together - Amba, Kunti and frenemy Gandhari - and off they go to New Delhi, on Earth, where so much has changed and so much remains the same. Kunti grows attached to a street urchin, Draupadi lands up in a television studio, Amba finds the one thing that could never be hers in heaven and Gandhari ... well, she's got something to say about all of it. Thirty days are all they have for their adventure, and time's running out fast. But can they really leave when the party's just started?

Just like i see every other character through a non-divine so i do krishna. And he comes across as human as you and me albeit probably a way better human than most of us somebody who believed in basic sense humanity of human s capacity to do the right i think this quality is what sets him apart and makes him a legend who has eventually raised to god status and having said that let me add only other person who echoes his thought process probably even better than he does is panchali.
