Where is the mediocrity, the madhyamarga of Lord Buddha. Why would it be against secularism if we go for excavations regarding MB era? This is an extreme ideology, not compatible with our diversity.

Frankly I no longer care about that thing. It's the most abused and misused word and has only caused harm.

History or myth, Mahabharata is an indispensable part of India.

Woh toh MB ke liye bhi is true. Every King who joined either Kauravas or Pandava all had their own agendas against other Kings and the Ps and the Ks. 😃

Haan lekin Kauravas n Pandavas main party the na all fought under their flags. But maybe that would also not have been the case

Aside what reference by Egyptians were you mentioning

Ideally it shouldn't be but in India it will be because MB is linked to a religion..

Spending money to confirm on the authenticity of the religious story of one religion won't be Secular for sure

It's very complicated.

Dharma and religion aren't the same. Problem occurs when the acceptance of one's culture is seen as a threat to others.

And no idea why they consider it so

I understand why you think it's a great deal. If Mahabharata was as big as mentioned in the epic (even 10% of it) then it was something great but why did no other civilization of those times like Egyptians or Mesopotamians or even Afghans record it

Egyptians especially recorded every major things that happened in the world so why did they missed recording Mahabharata

To humne kaunsa Egyptians ka kuch record kiya hai😆. Definitely, they too must have had their share of catastrophic wars. Just because they didn't record it, I don't think we should give our judgements. Also, it is a very ancient time we are talking about. Recently some excavations regarding Mahabharat which match certain details in the text are discovered and the suggested time of those remains is much older than the hitherto supposed 950 BCE.

Wars and conflicts are always disastrous, my friend. And war/battles/power-struggle are a common but bitter truth of this world. They have been there since stone age.

I would say, our archaelogists should resume their work.

Aside if you see now shows make Duryodhan a demonic character something epic doesn't suggest so

Epic actually states that Duryodhana was the incarnation of Demon Kali. The events post his death weren't favourable either. Shows do not cover this.

The problem is ideological. For us, the secular life and spirituality were never separate. I am getting what you mean. We would need astute lawyers for this case and they do exist. The word is much abused seriously.
