Damn!! Menaka played a very nasty game. First, blamed Bajaj did Kukki's kidnap and now all fraud cases.

But good that Prerna is sane and took Kukki with her.

Chapter 15 – Checkmate

She was sitting in an old café near Bus stand when Mr mehra finally picked them up.

“Mam yeh sab kya ho raha hain.Aapko yeh sab nahin karna chahiye tha baat bigad sakti hain.”

“Mr Mehra Kukki ne Menaka ko un gundo ke ssath dekha tha. Main kaise le jane deti unhe Kukki ko. Maine Mr Bajaj se promise kiya tha aur main Menaka ke saath koi chance nahi lungi. mujhe pata hain I should have thought this through but Kukki Menaka ko dekh kar itna dar gayi ki… use already fever hain high”

“Ek jagah hain mam, abhi uskebare main kisiko malum nahin hain. Aap chaliye mere saath”

And Mr Mehra took prerna to the same house that Mr bajaj had bought for them. “Yeh ghar Mr Bajaj ne kal hi liyatha. Maramat chal rahin hain par upar ka room theek hain aap wahan Kukki ko sula dijiye. Yeh kuch khane ka saman hain.” Prerna put Kukki to sleep.

“Hum kya kar sakte hain Mrmehra.”

“Mam sir ko already sak tha ki menaka kuch bhi kar sakti hain isliye unhone Menaka par nazar rakhi hui thi par is baar she is prepared for erveything. Bas agar kisi tarah Mr Bajaj bail par chut jaaye. Problem yeh hain ki hum yeh sabit kaise karenge ki yeh sab usne kiya hain. Kukki gawahi de sakti hain but bachi dari hui hain aur Menaka. Upar sesab bank accounts everything is sealed abhi bail amount aayegi kaha se.“

Just then Prerna remembered.“Nahin Mr mehra main Kukki ke saath chance nahin lungi we have to find some other way. Mujhe ek phone mila tha us godown main. Isse pehle ki main mr bajaj ko batati yeh sab ho gaya. Woh phone maine Kukki ki bag main rakha tha”

Prerna took Kukki bag and searched for it. She found it and Mr Mehra looked at the last numbers.

“Mr Mehra aapne bail amount ke liye mausi se baat ki. I am sure ki agar bank accounts bhi sealed hoon par hum kuch to kar sakte hain. Maasi kuch help kar paye”

“Mere dimaaag se yeh baat nikalhi gaye mam. Waise mam is phone main yeh number baar baar dailed hain. Ise try kare. Mere paas ek spare extra phone hota hai Mr bajaj ke private calls ke liye.”

They called the number and put the phone on speaker. Both were surprised to hear the voice of Sharda Maasi on the phone. They quickly cut the call. Prerna and Mr Mehra were shocked and didn’t know what to do.

“Maasi aise kyun karengi. MrBajaj kitni respect dete hain use phir kyun? Mujhe unse jakar milna hoga.”

“Kaha ja rahin hain aap. Aapko kya lagta hain aap ja kar unse pochengi to who aapko bata dengi. Aap kaha hain yeh baat hum kisiko nahin bata sakte its dangerous for Kukki. Ek Minute Aapne unhe bataya to nahin ki kukki aur aap kaha hai. Mrs Bajaj – mam jawab dijiye mujhe.”

“Nahin. Par main haath par haath rakh kar to nahin beth sakti. Mr Bajaj ki bail karani hogi kisi bhi tarah sewarna I don’t know what will happen. Wahan Sharda Maasi upar she Menaka, Kukki ki halat bhi theek nahin hain”

“Mr bajaj bhi koshish kar rahin hain.Woh chut jayenge. Aap chinta mat kijiye.”

“Hamare paas waqt nahin hain. Menaka kisi bhi waqt aakar Kukki to leja sakti hain.”

She took out whatever jewellery she was wearing. ”Main is waqt aur kuch nahin kar sakti par main yeh kar sakti hoon. Plus mera ek account hain kuch savings hai usme main aapko number deti hoon sab milakar aap kuch bhi karke Rishab ki bail karwaye suna aapne. Please”

At jail – “Rishab tum milna chahte the mujhse.”

“Relax Menaka. Please sit. Come on its just like old times. Sit. By the way amazing plan, I am impressed, khud kidnapping karwayi phir mera naam lagaya. Smart very smart I must say.”

“I don’t know what you are taking about.”

“Menaka that is your problem. Tumhe kabhi kuch pata hi nahi hota. Tumhare father ki company main 2 saal pehle money scam hua tha who tumne kiya tha apne boyfriend ke saath milkar. Tumhe thodi na pata tha. kaun sa number tha uska 2. Use bhi jyada amazing hoga ki main tumhare bf no 2 meaning gangster and pshyco ko yeh bata do ki tumne no 3 ke saath milkar no 2 ke saare paise chura liye. Who kya haal karega tumhara. Wow”

“You don’t have any prove.”

“Oh yes I do”

“I respect your father. So you have 24 hour make sure the case goes away and you will take back the custody case. “

“Wo meri beti hain”

“Tumhare Beti jise tumne khud maut ki moon main jane diya, kitna dar gayi who tumhe pata hain. Kya socha tumne ki paise mil jayenge aur custody ke bahane meri life aur Kukki ki life main aa jaogi aur iske liye tumne meri bachi ki zindagi daw par laga di. You have 23 hours and 55 mins”

Just then Mr.Mehra came. “Sir bail ho gayi hain. Hame chalna chahiye”

Rishab left signaling at the watch to Menaka. The whole day went in Rishab trying to take care of everything from handling one charges to another but things were not looking better.

At the old house, while Kukki was sleeping Prerna decided to take a tour of the house. She didn’t know why but the house seemed closer to her. It was almost night and there was no sign of Mr Mehra. She had also switched off her phone and given it to Mr mehra so that no one can find them. Kukki woke up after sometime and was jumping around in the house turning into a chatterbox and Prerna couldn’t be happier. Her fever also broke. Just then she heard someone near the gate. She quickly caught Kukki hid her in the room, got a stick and switched off all the lights. She was about to attack when somebody caught her hand and stopped her. She was surprised to see Mr Bajaj and she went straight into his arms. Rishab was surprised at this

“Aap Chuth gaye? Aap theek hain?”

“hmmm” and Kukki jumped at Rishab.

“Ghar Chale”

Kukki Signalled no. She wanted to stay in this house only. Rishab tried to reason that it is not ready but she was not ready to listen.

“kaam chalta rahega we can stay” and gave a high five to Kukki and Kukki ran to the hall. Prerna wanted to talk to Sharda maasi herself before she told Rishab everything and wanted to avoid meeting them.

Rishab said ok. “Prerna, jab zaroorat thi tab bhi kabhi maine yeh nahin hone diya to aaj to” and he gave her back her jewellery.

Once they had all eaten, Kukki went near a piano. She had seen it before. Prerna was sitting next to her. She played a tune and asked Prerna what was she singing. Prerna showed that she didn’t know then she asked Rishab and he also said no and was about to leave when Rishab heard the most beautiful sound he could have ever heard.

“papa kehte hain bada naam karegi,

Beti hamari aisa kaam karegi"

Rishab with weak legs went near the piano and tried to grasp what was happening.

“Kaisa tha papa?”

And don’t know who did it first but they were both on their knees crying and hugging each other. Rishab didn’t know what to feel or what to do he was so happy.

I knew Rishabh will have a few tricks up his sleeve whatever the circumstances.... That was a brilliant move by him👏👏👏....so happy to see him out of jail and also 10 steps ahead of Menaka... Absolutely loved Prerna today.... She's showing immense presence of mind in these tough situations.... Kukki opted for a beautiful way to show her dad that her voice is back....so emotional.... An absolutely wonderful update....

Sach mein checkmate. Bajaj is always 10 steps ahead of everyone, including Menaka. She has so many BF man, why does she want Bajaj back? Anurag ke kehne pe she is ruining everything and soon herself.

I love how action packed and fast paced this story is. Waiting to read more.
