That's the time-traveling paradox. There is, and will always be only 1 Sanjay.

Say 2020, jahan se he came is point A.

HP, in MB era (as of 1st epi) is point B.

Thoda time ho gaya usko aake, so let's take a point C, as of when Sanjay woh chair pe baithke ke shifts from D'Souza ka jungle cabin to cabin ke bahar ka jungle.

Ab jo Sanjay hai, woh agar you look at the whole timeline, he exists at all 4 points. Isiliye, jab we are watching in the incidents between C and D we can find 2 Sanjay at once.

That is the basic reason why we haven't invented a time machine yet: if you go back in time and kill your father, will you exist or not?
