That's what I meant and added Subhadra's context

🙃 They should have a deserving King instead of following the older one, imagine Modi Ji gambling away India, who would vote for him? 😯😯😯

Similarly, though I personally believe Swargyarohan as an interpolation and the reasons stated for the downfall unjustified, even if we consider it true, it is natural for Draupadi to have a soft corner for Arjun because he is the one who won the contest and she was not aware that she would be divided. That's my take.

Also I agree. We need to stop arguing about romances. Arjun had a big heart, he loved everyone. 😆

😆 After all she went through because of men, no one would blame her.

Panchali wasn't above using feminine wiles to get what she wanted, but at every instance, she places empire's needs above hers as a woman. So yeah, I agree with you. Her focus was not the men in her life. From observing real life men in 21st century, that may have been part of her attraction also. The more a woman ignores men, the stranger they act in trying to get attention.

Unfortunately that was a monarchy. Democracy is and always will be superior. Yes it does have its flaws but monarchy is not progressive at all. Birth and age should never be a basis of choosing a ruler. Thank god, we don't depend on kings anymore!!!

I think they just kept him on the Throne to keep Pandavas united, like they keep Gandhi family member as President of INC because Gandhi family keeps them united 🤦‍♀️ Competency be damned

Another question is: During the Virata Parva/pre war phase, when Krishna tells Karna about his real legacy, he also makes an offer to him: that if he sides with the Pandavas, he will get it all: Family, Respect, Throne, Pandavas as brothers and Draupadi.

Another strange thing I found in MBH.

Though there are explanations that Krishna never intended/expected Karna would accept his offer. But still extremely strange offer.

Further Karna responds to all other points of the offers but not about Draupadi.

In Jain Mahabharata (Harivamsapurana), Draupadi is married to Arjun only, I don't know if Arjun is married to other women in it or not.

I think he would have married other women because Vyasa didn't shy away from writing his character was "gripped with desire" on seeing Draupadi, Chitra and Subhadra. He also told Uloopi that he wants to do her but he can't as he has to follow celibacy, He definitely had an active sexual life and a working weapon

Actually the moment drapaudi is mentioned it should be known that krishna does not means ot all

Knowing krishna if he really did not want to offer him anything he would have revealed everything to yudhishtra and duryodhan both of them would have left their claim on thrown

it was just a ploy to plant "what ifs" in his brains.
