Ram’s Vanar Sena attacks Ravan’s Raksha Sena .. Hanuman kills Rakshas Durmukh .

Ram is very pleased as Jamvant declares this is the auspicious beginning of their war against dusht Ravan.

Ravan is furious on receiving the news of Durmukh’s death at the hands of the markat Hanuman.

Rajkumar Pragasth Rakshas, son of Ravan , ends up getting killed by Laxman by using divine powers. Ravan is shocked with this news Indrajeet is saddened too....he decides to avenge the death of his brother .. he vouches to kill Ram n his brothers .

Senanayak Khar’s son ....Makaraksh arrives to avenge the death of his father Khar’s death at Panchvati ..he challenges Ram to fight him. Ram agrees to fight brave Makaraksh. He asks everyone else to step back .

Ram, Makaraksh fight begins , Vibhishan informs Makaraksh had trapped Vayu devta in his custody .he advises Ram to use divine powers n release Vayu devta to reduce his powers and soon Makaraksh meets his maker .

Vanar Sena shouts Ram ki Jai .but Ram asks them to respect Makaraksh who was brave n obedient if his mother n father , he orders the dead body to be despatched to Lanka with due regards .Ravan grieves over the death of his brave warrior , his nephew ..the son of his brother Khar . He is very upset n decides to confront enemy ...despite being dissuaded by various sena nayaks .

At battle ground Ravan is confronted by Sugriv. Hey challenge each other , fierce fighting begins. Soon Ram arrives n challenges Ravan , they get I tk fierce fight , Ravan gets disarmed by Ram ...his chariot gets broken .Ram refuses to fight with unarmed opponent it as against Kshatriya rules . He asks Ravan to return next day with new arms n they would continue their fight . Ravan walks back to his palace unarmed n fuming with fury n humiliation.
On advise of his Nana Shri he decides to wake up Kumbhakaran n send him to war .

Great arrangements are made to wake up slumbering Kumbhakarna.
Trijata gives good news to Sita at Ashok vatika about everything that happened in battle field , how Ravan was sent back insulted . How Kumbhakarna was being woken up .

the episode begins toh Ravan’s Sena trying to awaken the slumbering Kumbhakarna

They try trumpets, drums near his ears .. pour chilled water .. make elephant trumpet near him but all efforts are in vain n Kumbhakarna does not stir . Finally they decide to place his meal near him and the scent of food awakens the sleeping giant .

He rises and gobbles up his huge meal

Senanayaks then informs him about the trouble that had befallen Lanka n Lankesh

Kumbhakarna asks how n why did this happen ?? He is informed in details and this was because Ravan had kidnapped Ram’s wife Sita . Kumbhakarna is shocked that Sita was Jadamba and avatar of Maha Laxmi .. how dare Ravan do this to her .

Ravan and Kumbhakarna have confrontation . Ravan states how he was insulted n disarmed by Ram . Kumbhakarna tells Ravan that Ram was Trilok pati n was all powerful ,, Sita was jagadamba and Avtaar I’d Maha Laxmi how could Ravan think of fighting them n winning !! Ravan had to avenge the insult of Shurpanakha n deaths of Khar Dushan .. The both have prolonged argument over who is right n who is wrong . Ravan is reminded of the prophesy that Rakshas clan will come to an end when Lord Vishnu is born in Ishwakur dynasty. Ravan asks Kumbhakarna to do his brotherly duty towards the kingdom and the king , his elder brother .

Ravan is assures he will fight for Ravan n assures Ravan will finish the enemy by evening .He tells Ravan that if he returned after destroying Enemy they will have a grand celebration tonight but of the enemy is God Lord Ram himself then he might meet his end and his sacrifice should be remembered .

Ravan wishes him good n sends him to war

When Kumbhakarna reaches battlefield there is confusion fear in the army n Vanar Sena runs say in fear of giant . Ram n Laxman too are left wondering who this was Vibhishan reveals it was Kumbhakarna and his back story . How he had prolific appetite and would soon cause famine .they prayed to Lord Brahma for help . And Brahma blessed him with One days wakefulness and six months sleep .

Kumbhakarna then challenges Ram n Laxman to fight him .Kumbhakarn gets killed .
