I'll try to drop in as much as I can. I have been thinking of doing a big analysis post for all the characters but I get scared when I think of the amount I will have to type. Maybe I'll do it soon or maybe not at all because I think we all already know how the characters are. We'll see.

I really want to commend the writers on being able to maintain and build on the characteristics that they had shown in the beginning. The conflicts are essentially still the same but the way they pan out is completely different. They've handled it so well.

These beginning episodes are so insightful for Kuhu and Kunal's characters though, especially the ones you guys are discussing. This is probably the only time we've seen them express their feelings out loud. They don't do that later in the show and neither are the flashbacks shown like they are shown for Mishti. Abir ke liye bhi nahi dikhaate aaj kal to. Maybe because they handled his conflict when they brought in Mehul's character and now they'll focus on his thoughts more when his inner battle about Meenakshi will be portrayed.

Coming back to Kuhu and Kunal, we get to see that both of them wanted to get married to each other. It is so clearly visible and then Meenakshi steps in🤦🏻‍♀️. We had been discussing KuKu's back story in the AT a few days back and the rishta swap just reminds me of the conversation we had about the Bachelor/Hen's party, specifically Kunal's line: "Agar Mishti humaare beech nahi aayi hoti to humaari kahaani kuchh aur ho sakti thi". You can totally see him resenting the rishta swap in that moment. He had already decided after his first proper meet with Kuhu that he will mostly say yes to her. The milna julna was just a formality for them. Kunal's expressions when Kuhu is coming down the stairs is just 😍 and then both of their sad faces just hit so hard.

Also, we get to see how the 4 characters handle the situation and their struggles.

Abir blames Meenu, fights with with her and then decides to leave the house to find peace of mind. This portrays his biggest weakness and struggle. He tends to run away from situations when they get too overwhelming to handle leaving everyone to handle things in his absence or rather just Nanko.

Kunal biggest flaw/struggle: He puts his own feelings at the back burner and focusses on his Bhai and maa's feelings. It kind of feels like he thinks he will handle them first and then move on to think about himself but inn dono ke beech ki problems khatam ho tab na.

Mishti tries to face the problem head on, like looking for Kuhu and then trying to talk to her but the second she is reminded of her past, she looses semblance and becomes impulsive and emotional because she is blamed for something that is not her fault, but has somehow shaped her entire life. We saw a similar situation in the recent episodes as well.

Kuhu, the happy bubbly girl turns into an emotional tornado, crying and blaming, whenever the scales are tipped in favour of Mishti. The girl wants equal treatment but the situation always becomes such that whenever Mishti is happy, something is taken away from her.

arre wah Pihu! What a great intro to your upcoming analysis post👏 Please do share it yaar, would love to read a fresh perspective. You can post it here if you like..or @Uru has got a separate thread for Mishbir snippets, or even just straight on the MF - I'm sure many of us would love to read your take on not only Kuku but Mishbir as well🤗 #bringiton👍🏼

@bold: Absolutely yaar. I was mentioning the same thing to Uru a couple days back. Since she started her snippet analysis of Mishbir, I was also saying the same - the fact that we are able to connect the older episodes and their character traits to the current situation...goes to show how talented and skilful our writers and makers really are. All it takes for us as an audience is to be patient and if you really are a enthusiast for good content, you will be able to look past the heavy drama and still pull out these deep analysis points👏👍🏼

Oh haan, I had a peep through the Kuku AT a few days back. Yes I totally agree with you, Kuhu and Kunal seemed to really have a pleasant attraction to one another, since their first interaction on holi night. Haan yaar, even @diyu was saying the same here in the re-run with her caps, you could clearly see that Kunal was looking forward to getting to know Kuhu more and yes, there was a high chance he would have said yes to her🤗 Bechare Kuhu and Kunal, their shocked and sad faces really hurt. Especially Kuhu, poor girl she was shattered - being rejected is one thing, but to have her sister take her position is a whole another level😒 Par isme Mishti ki koi galti nahi hai.

But even after all that twisted rishta, even after Mishti rejects Kunal and then also even after Kunal gets forced to marry Kuhu...I still felt the writers/makers had lots of potential in making Kuku something very different yet unique at the same time. I've always found both Kuhu and Kunal as individual characters very interesting, their pairing as a couple honest has taken a while for me to get on board, there have been times I've been really intrigued for their love story especially during the Baba track and especially just before divorce track during mishbir breakup. You're right, kuku needed more focus on their emotions during the divorce track, especially since Kunal had finally developed strong feelings for her, we really needed to see more monologues and their "talk" after shaadi about how Kunal was sorry for all the pain he caused her after shaadi...is still inocmplete🤔 I just wished the makers hadn't rushed to reveal the divorce matter so abruptly in the middle of mishbir shaadi #badtiming. The divorce revelation deserved a separate track in my opinion.

oops sorry, ranted a bit too much. Maybe I'll have to join you in the analysis thread too, to continue😃

Waiting for yours🤗

Waiting for yours🤗

Oh great! I have two people waiting for the thread now. I'll try and post it this week only. I haven't really had the chance to analyse MishBir as a couple because I mostly go through general posts on the MF and KuKu AT. I pop in the MishBir AT when the episodes have something really interesting which catches my eye and I wish to read more opinions on that but since we can't discuss other characters in the AT and the MF becomes a war zone between the fandoms, my POV becomes a bit biased. I really wish we could all have a healthy discussion on not just BB but all characters. It would be so insightful. There are so many points that we miss out on that we all discuss in the ATs but out in the forum, it just becomes more about defending our favourite characters. I really don't like that so I have kind of stopped making posts but I really wish to make one analysing all characters and their relationships, be it romantic or platonic. I'll go check Uru's snippet thread today only since you've suggested.

I agree that we should have gotten a more elaborate divorce track because we all want the fulfillment but I think the writers are really experimental with this couple. They don't take the usual route of building up the drama and then a dhamaka. They take a complete U-turn when the build-up reaches its peak and even though, it gets really frustrating to see that, it is also a new way to tell the story. Their story becomes so unpredictable. I don't know if you've noticed but everyone in the KuKu fandom, be it on the forum or social platforms, we're all expecting a separation track which might make Kunal realise how strong his feelings for Kuhu are but there's also this feeling that the writers won't give us what we expect because har baar popat ho jaata hai jab bhi kuch expect karte hain. It's fun as well as frustrating but it's definitely unpredictable.

Can I suggest you to read a FF on the forum?? Totally your wish. It's called #Ladakuchhokro never learns. It's kind of based on all of our collective wishes to see a calm, explosive Kuhu that makes Kunal realise that she can't always be his last priority. It's very much in sync with the characters in the show and continues from where the show was left.

*Secret: There are 2 versions of that story. One by the author and the happier version exists on the 3rd AT.

@Bold - Of course, nahi hai. I know that. The only time Mishti falters is when she tries to help people. I wish she would stop doing that but then it would seem out of character, so it's okay. I'll handle getting annoyed at her only rather than the show becoming stagnant.

Episode 13

Maheshwaris are worried/angry/sad bcoz of rishta exchange... bp doesnt want to have any contact with them even to deny rishta...

some significant dialogues

"Rajvansh naam bada hai par sanskaar nahi" #true for meenu

"Beton ki maa haina beti walon ki dard nahi samjegi" very much true and meenu has this attitude very much... typical boys mothers attitude..

"un logone kaise sochliya ek beti ki dil tid kar dusri ki saath rishta karengi" this is what meenu wanted them to think thats why rather than simply rejecting kuhu she exchanged rishta so that they dont even think of having any relationship with rjv...

Mishti informs about kuhu missing n everyone are tensed...

Awww the most sweetest family of our show can we get these back please... Atul practicing the script n forgets his dialogue n maamu corrects n self praises himself n maami teaches him.. smiley37 All this even though scripted looks like they are just expressing what they want to say to meenu but cant smiley37 and also atul pulling maami legs on not keeping proper fast for him by eating dhokla n maami chids him saying for serial this is enough awww the most cutest, entertaining family smiley27 nazar naa lage.. smiley27

And i love the way Atul n ketu say "pappa" smiley27smiley42

#MrIndia darshan nandu enjoy our cutie 😆

look at maamu admiring his maariwali 😆

Here comes bigben who they were roasting until now smiley37 just look at maami aww so cute how she hides behind ketu or maamu whenever meenu comes or shouts smiley36

The awaited confrontation... smiley40

Abir just stated the brutal reality of meenu "aap tho sirf karti hai galat tho apne aap hojata hai" smiley32smiley36 well planned but for on lookers it looks circumstantial except for abir does gets a hunch she is capable of planning everything before hand.. smiley36smiley15

Meenu why bring maamu in this, ok here a side note whenever she couldnt talk or wants someone to support her against abir she just grabs whoever is nearby...

Feminist abir smiley16

"Ek ladki koi showroom mai rakka saaman nahi hoti, jisse dekkar aap kahe ki apko model pasand nahi aaye, uska feelings hoti hai, dil hota hai, self respect hoti hai"

"tho kya uss ladki ki dil rakne keliye mere bete ki shaadi ek galat ladki se kardun"

"apko naa hi kehni thi, tho ma kehne ka bhi ek saleeka hota hai"

#nowords this is one of the best dialogues of abir the counter argument both had is best... its not about what happened but the clash that meenu n abir is mainly bcoz of the different perspective they have thats what makes it top notch n enjoyable n also gives some realistic approach too between two strong headed with different perspective people... smiley32

PS: Nandu notice shaheers bd in this 😆
