I am sorry but let's not look down upon people, it's not like Beyhadh is a remarkable trend setter when the only thing people talk about Beyhadh is when the lead will do it, they have noth in going on apart from two good looking actors. I don't understand this attitude of laughing and mocking people for watching a show they like, those shows are generating enough revenue for their channel and actors. Beyhadh with probably the most amazing actress on ITV is fairly low with 0.3 - 0.4 TRP, the failure of this show is because of underdeveloped plot, don't put the blame of failure on audience.

Rudra consummation with Maya is giving me creepy feelings, how can one consummate with brother murderer n also once in time his father ex gf n pregnant with his step sibling.
Consummation of marriage
The marriage is illegal because Maya married Vikram and she is Mr. Maya Vikram Jaisingh, they have to marry before consummating, although they can do it without marriage nothing wrong with that 😂 The story and plot doesn't matter, the show has come down to a place where most people are waiting for two people to do it, I stopped watching the show with haywire plot line as I don't get excited by watching them on Television

For me story, plot n character arc is much important, yeah plot is complicated this father-son- maya angle but the way they showed is just messy no proper strong build up. Shivjen are amazing I agree, but Mayra is just toxic, saying big big promise n doing romance, jealousy doesn't contribute anything where there is no communication, transparrancy n trust in relationship. Watching this show only for Maya revenge against her enemies, n nw for vikram and Maya angle because its somewhat interesting n trilling
Hi, this is a beautiful thread, please don't turn it into a warzone. 🙏
I would like to give some facts about legal validity of marriage on the basis of Indian law. Kindly read the facts in the first picture below (or visit the page if you wish to).
As per Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, A religious marriage is also a legal marriage. This religious ceremony can be any ceremony, including gandharva vivaha, because it is one of the 7 accepted forms of Hindu marriage. Registration happens after the ceremony, sometimes it precedes the ceremony too. About MayRa wedding, they did not register their marriage but their wedding had witnesses (temple devotees, see second pic below), they also had grand reception with media coverage. That covers the social acceptance of the wedding.
Many weddings happened in this manner, including my parents, and other couples of older generation. Nowadays people prefer to obtain marriage certificate because it is easier to get visa.
In case of Vikram-Maya wedding, it seems like they had a civil marriage ceremony under the Indian Special Marriage Act, 1954. But there is a big loophole. Like other marriage acts, in this one also documents are required for registering the marriage. Which means, the documents from before marriage, not after. Without these documents, it would not be possible to register the marriage.
Now the documents we see of Maya/Manvi are in name of Maya Jaisingh and not her maiden name. Which means the documents were obtained after 'marriage', if it can be called so..I mean how did the marriage happen without Manvi's actual documents, because pehle marriage hoga then Jaisingh naam se new documents milega.
Also, Indian government has no system of granting new identity just because a person has lost memory, people losing memory are kept in mental asylum for treatment and people wanting to change names are required file an affidavit.
About Compulsary Registration of Marriage Act, 2005, if a couple doesn't register their marriage it doesn't make their marriage invalid.
Non registration of marriages.- No marriage performed to which this act applies shall be deemed to be invalid solely by reason of the fact that it was not registered under this Act. (See page 14 of the pdf link)
They are expected to register within 30 days, if they don't there is is a late fee of Rs. 2 per each day of delay. Tomorrow MayRa complete 2 months of marriage, so their late fee would be Rs. 60 for a month's delay but marriage would be valid. (See page 9 of the pdf link)

Sorry Kay for such a long post in your thread.
The intention is not turning anything into a war zone, I just replied to a comment and mocking which followed
Vikram gave those documents to Maya on their wedding day, just because he gave it to her AFTER completion of wedding does not mean he made those documents while Maya was signing marriage papers.
Maya had to go through biometric registration, sign to get a new identity, she told the law that her name is Maya, that's how she got identity Cards. New identity was her gift from Vikram and she flew as soon as she got it means she went through the process of procuring identity cards and changed her name "legally" which makes her marriage to Vikram "legal"
The person signed marriage papers herself, she is living with that identity for years, she has properties as Maya Jaisingh, so everything she owns is not her because she is Manvi?
I don't know about Gandharva Vivah but I think it gives people a good way to sleep with women after doing gandharv Vivah and leaving them because there are no witnesses

I watch shows for story too, it's rare for me to like a lead pair and enjoy romantic scenes, there has to be investment in character and ship for me to enjoy it, I liked Maya in the beginning, when they were showing how different two brothers are from each other, how Maya reacts differently to both of them, Maya was fake but real with Rudra, It ended for me after Rishi's murder, it was all lies and big talks nothing else

I think you did not read the Indian Special Marriage Act before writing the comment. It says documents are needed to register the wedding. Documents kaha se aye? Vikram ne banwaye.. Kis naam se banwaye, Maya Jaisingh naam se. He used Maya Jaisingh name documents to register the marriage. How is that a valid identity proof? It's not, because before marriage k documents chahiye to register marriage and before marriage she is not Maya Jaisingh. After marriage affidavit hoga then she can make Maya Jaisingh name documents. Also affidavit file karte time we are required to submit old identity proof, that Maya did not have at that moment.
In MayRa's case witness were present, see second pic above.

Can you get identity cards without biometric registration? I can not make your identity cards without your signature and biometric registration. Identity card is used for registration of marriage, identity card which has Maya's finger print etc. Vikram gave this name for marriage because Maya herself said that she is Maya Jaisingh that's what her identity card says that's how she purchased land and stocks, how are those identity cards valid, if marriage is invalid
The process of procuring ID cards would have started BEFORE their marriage, you need photographs, residential proof, age proof and witnesses for registration of marriage
The ID cards which were used for registration of marriage are the ID cards Maya is using till date
As I said I don't know much about Gandharva vivah, but Maya also had Sindoor and Mangalsutra from Vikram with witnesses, doesn't that qualify as Gandharva vivah or there are different rules? I
