In this case when negativity and bad news is everywhere, people should definitely annouce their donations. Kudos to Kartik and Akshay Kumar. I am appalled at the lack of sympathy and donations from the great Khans, Bacchans,Tendulkar, and other super rich bollywood and cricket celebrities.

Will not be spending one rupee to watch their movies or cricket.

It’s great that they are donating. I can even understand saying everyone should announce their donations to encourage others to donate. But announcing your amount of donation is ridiculous and honestly at this point it amounts to PR move. Again, if the purpose of announcing the donation is to encourage others to donate then announcing the amount overshadows that and everyone focuses on the amount rather than the cause specially on SM.

I don’t know about others but SRK is known for doing a lot of charity work, and it became known because different organizations recognized his philanthropy. I don’t even like the man and I have no doubt he’s done his fair share this time as well. Good for him for not making a show of it.

Tbh I never liked this guy but today he changed my perception atleast he is better than so called fake celebs who will lecture like anything in interviews but would not give a single penny if needed to anyone biggest example is John Abraham and Aamir Khan they both come when they want to promote their film otherwise they don't give a shit this is height of selfishness I mean these all celebs are gazillion times overpaid and still can't help the society back when they are getting so much from the society for years shame on these celebs like Dharmendra hema bachhan srk KARAN JOHAR ekta Kapoor hritik saif Kareena Katrina ranveer Deepika Sachin Aishwarya Rani Ajay devgan shame on them thu hai I pledge to never spend a penny on their films in my lifetime ever

It is hilarious how people are pointing at others for not sharing if they donated or if they donated less than another celebrity. Granted that they are rich and as good civilians and samaritans, they should contribute. But what is this putting people down for donating THEIR earned money? Lol, these celebs are really dumb for declaring how much they are donating. I agree that some are 'kanjoos' but they are putting themselves up for more scrutiny.

Also, as good people, we should all donate if we can. We don't need any celebrity to set an example.

I have more respect for Karthik for doing this . He has way less money than some of the others who donated but he still gave a more significant portion of his paycheck.
