and what exactly is the "proper news" ??
Something that gives you both sides of the story with both the pros and cons without loaded language vs opinion pieces that conflate facts. Most mainstream media has now become the latter (and not just in relation to India but also the States). So for example I recently read an article that tried to assert that these migrant labours affected constituted 60% of the Indian population. That's frankly not true at most its several hundred thousand (mainly an issue in Delhi whilst other areas were able to handle it a bit better). Of course its still a sad story regardless of the number but when they use the wrong facts to establish a point then you start to question the agenda of the author. Also they hardly include how many billions the governments are spending in order to ensure these people have food and shelter. The same with the CAA issue in mainstream newspapers. They conflated the protests in Assam with the religious issue. But that's not the reason the Assamese were protesting, they just don't want anyone to get citizenship and think its a violation of the Assam accord. So again they mix up the facts in order to serve a certain opinion.
Personally, I prefer twitter for news as usually you get both sides of the story fairly quickly to be able to make up your mind.
