Genuineness is definitely a huge factor.
I wasn't really into actors' personal lives but when DT broke up with SM, I really loved how maturely she handled it and the positivity she carried. So you can say, after that, I started watching her off screen videos a lot. But when she got married somewhere I started losing touch because either sometimes it looked fake or sometimes a few fans spread too much of negativity.
So after that point, I just made up my mind that if you find the off screen videos funny or sweet, be happy about it and move on. Don't look too much into it. Because like you had said, they might act too!
So generally I try to judge the art and not the artist. But there are some basic traits that some celebrity fails to follow and once you genuinely get fed up or even get angry on someone, it's hard to appreciate his works unless it's absolutely brilliant.
Then it genuinely has to be a good piece and not some mediocre work which any fangirl out there would call a masterpiece.
Just sharing, I don't admire KP at all as a person. But he is an exceptionally talented actor and so I have to acknowledge his work. But there is another highly popular actor in my country whom I hate with passion and I mean the word HATRED because of him playing the victim card in a particular incident. So later, I couldn't praise his works unless it was actually good.
So I get you. VSC was good in JNDSD but he's not that great in Jinn and his quality of work is only deteriorating. So it's not possible to appreciate such mediocre work considering he is showing off too much.

Good to know, and DT even I felt she really changed post marriage. But she is really brilliant in acting and I did see her scenes or series she did, great job she did.
Yes, exactly! This is something, I always believe cos no one can be ultra good, even we can't. Hence I prefer people being normal. Otherwise yes, many just act and obviously you don't want to analyse everyone.
Yes, even I do that! Like am not interested in personal life but if it mixes, it's irritating.
Plus yes, we can overlook and see the project still for either the Artist is brilliant, or plot or story is something else. Now nothing is there in this show as you said, so there's no need for me to see.
