I only have one thing to add: I had really hoped to see Shaurya being Kuhu's support system after he tried to tell Kuhu that he would not let her remain in the marriage but for some reason, they don't give us their father-daughter bond at all. The few scenes that they've had have been so cute. They need to bring in Papa Maheshwari ASAP!

Shaurya apna support system toh ban jaaye 🤪

I was watching a few One Tree Hill epis and Naley got me thinking about young couples that have children but aren't necessarily prepared for the responsibilities which is still something that happens despite the evolved views on the subject.

I thought it would be quite different if KuKu had a similar story.

Feel free to completely ignore my BS. I'm so fed up staying in doors and working from home is depressing now.

@Bold - 🤣

OTH!! Seems like we all watch similar shows!! I used to ship BruCas so hard but then they broke up😭

Shows se yaad aaya, has no one seen Avatar: The Last Airbender??? I need to know if I'm the only one who thinks Zuko and Kunal are similar 🙆🏻‍♀️

I know he seems to like juat be there in the frame, but doesnt contribute much. It would be nice to see him standing upto BP, be like Kuhu deserves the same love and appreciation so what if she is a little difficult to manage.

The truth is that you guys just can't appreciate Daddy Shaurya. 😎

He is so boss that he is unaffected by all this chikchik between KuShti. He is a sanyaasi. His silence shows us that he is at peace ☯️

I am just glad Varsha doesn't call him Kuhu ke bauji or Ananya ke bauji.

Speaking of Ananya, here we are crying about how they are unfair to Kuhu but Ananya ko dekho toh lagega ki Kuhu is a princess. 🤣 Ananya pe toh koi dhyaan nahi deta.

Hey Sam,

Am sorry to barge into the midst of discussion. But thought would like to add something here.

I liked that scene between the sisters where Mishti confronts Kuhu over the necklace. There was a role reversal of sorts there between Mishti and Kuhu where Kuhu was on the defensive.

Mishti certainly over-reacted but it felt like more than being angry about the necklace getting damaged she was actually venting out her frustration of the previous day.

Mishti probably sees Parul as someone who should be supported (something in line with her knack for trying to help/rescue others?) She might also be looking to actively do something to make a place for herself in the family. And there's an easy validation and acceptance she finds from Parul.

I found that conversation between Mishti and Kunal on the morning of the logo inauguration day very genuine. Mishti was oblivious to how Kunal and Parul's truth would impact Kuhu (has always been the case with this particular character - not being able to see the bigger picture) She also wouldn't have thought that Kuhu would react in a manner she did. On the other hand she must have wondered that why won't anyone want to accept someone as loving as Parul as a mother-in-law.

Clearly Mishti doesn't understand that things aren't as simple as that.

Hey Nikkie,

@bold: That's what I was trying to say as well, but I think it might have gotten lost in the flow of the discussion so I'll try to clarify.

I didn't mean to imply that Mishti was wrong in any of these situations -- I completely agree with the explanations you've given above -- but rather to say that from Kuhu's perspective, without the knowledge that the audience has about Mishti's intentions, these actions are very confusing and contradictory. And rather than communicate with one another, the sisters each see the other as the enemy to their success and happiness in the house, which is exactly what Meenu wants.

Basically, Meenu is using her knowledge of how Mishti and Kuhu will naturally react to situations to plant seeds that bring out the worst in their relationship. Both with the haar and the sleeping pills, Meenu said some pretty horrific things to Kuhu that induced her anger, but Mishti isn't aware of that and when Kuhu tried to share some of her knowledge (during Mishti's not-a-lecture), Mishti dismissed it as Kuhu's bad behaviour, talking ill of her MIL. Kuhu knows that she crossed a line and she is guilty, but also scared of the implications of backing down and admitting she was wrong because that means Mishti wins. That's why she called Jasmeet for reassurance -- she just wanted someone who would tell her she was right to help her mash that guilt down.

So my point is that both sisters, where they can't understand the motivation for the other's actions are filling the blanks by assuming the worst. Kuhu can't understand why Mishti's words and actions contradict each other so she assumes that Mishti is trying to make a fool of her while she silently takes over the entire household and reduces Kuhu and Kunal to servant status, and Mishti can't understand why Kuhu keeps indulging in these petty, destructive acts, so she assumes that Kuhu hates her and will stop at nothing to destroy her life, even at the cost of her own family and relationship. Meenu is happily catalysing these dangerous assumptions for her own ends.

In truth, these girls have always been on the brink of a great relationship, but first the bade Maheshwaris and now Meenu are holding them back. I still say their relationship is much healthier than the brothers because the problems between them are solely caused by unfavourable external circumstances. Put them in the right environment, where they each have enough breathing room, and where their insecurities aren't being provoked constnantly, and they will be just fine. The brothers are different because the very foundation of their relationship is inequality and compromise and it only works because of their external circumstances and the particular scaffolding of the Rajvansh family.

That is one area I would like writers to explore. I want to see what would cause a rift between these bros, preferbly something not related to their wives.

Me, me! 😃

I loved the TLAB and Zuko was my absolute favourite character (also loved him and Mai together )! And YES! Kunal is definitely very similar -- his sensitivity is misread as weakness so he hides it and goes to the other extreme to prove that he is as strong as his dominant parent. 😭 I just wish Kunal had an Uncle Iroh.

AND I'm also an OTH fan 😃 Naley was one of my first OTPs, and I love how OTH never fell for the usual traps of teen shows, making everyone cheat on everyone with everyone. 😕 It was a shame to hear about Mark Schwan being such a nasty piece of work, though. 😡
