Because Rhea was a hundred times better parent than the idiot Dev could ever be....He literally traumatized the poor kid with his mood swings and what not...Ghar pe baitke bache ko dekhna bhi theek se nahi kar paya and on the top of it had an illicit affair with another woman....I don’t remember if they fought a case for the child but if they did, Dev doesn’t even stand a chance....Even Dev’s mother preferred to stay with Rhea...So there!

Rhea was the man of the house, was bringing food on the table, take care of all essentials for her son. She only wanted her husband to be supportive and take care of her son.

Dev was a thankless, frustrated prick. Dev was not even a good "mother" to his son. He was a bully. Rhea made a better single mother and the fact that Dev's mother chose to stay with Rhea spoke volumes about her.

Arjun would have a better upbringing with Rhea and have his grandmother with him.

Dev clearly didn’t want the kid. He never contested what Rhea said or made any attempt to fight to keep his son with him and there wasn’t even anything surprising in that ....didn’t you notice how he bullied and put down his son for having “girly” interests throughout the film?

So yeah it was probably in the kid’s best interest that he stayed with his mom, even if she did have a full time job...after all he was a school aged kid, I don’t see how it’s necessary for the Mom to always be at home when they get to that stage 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeh mujhe bada galat lagta hai. Har baar ek strong independent woman ko ek man se kyun compare kia jaata hai. A working women or otherwise contributes much more to the well being of the house than working man.

Rhea was the better parent any day. Dev forced the kid to play soccer and would take out unnecessary anger on the child. Dev was also the reason that the family broke. Also, Dev's mother lives with Rhea even after divorce. Why should Dev get custody? If he was so concerned for his child, he wouldn't have time to do rang raliya with his mistress. He had all the time in the world to have a full-blown affair in broad daylight but not look for a job.

This exactly thank you. I don't why a working woman should be considered "man" of the house. ???

Dude, did u watch the same KANK as the rest of us? I wanted to slap SRK/Dev for the way he treated that poor kid! He was more like the harsh step-father. I always wondered if he would treat/taunt Maya the same way since she cannot have kids
