Yes yes yes! I am already bored enough stuck at home as it is. There are two things that I wanted to bring up (completely unrelated, but both KuKu related):
- If the saree thread hadn't been dropped, how could have it been continued (staying true to the characterization of KuKu, so it can't be some overly romantic cheesy lovey-dovey track)?
- I was going back and watching old KuKu scenes because I was REALLY bored. You know the scene where Kunal hugs Kuhu after Abir and him fight and Kunal is upset because Abir "chose" Mishti over him? Before that, Kunal says "tumhe chhod kar, maine apne bhai ko choose kiya". This dialogue did not make sense to me at all. When did Kunal ever have the need to think about choosing Kuhu if he never loved her?
@bold: What I understood from this dialogue is that he did actually did start to like Kuhu. He was attracted to her but when Meenu brainwashed Kunal and got him to choose between his developing feelings for Kuhu and what they percieved would be Abir's happiness, he was forced to choose his brother - there is no option when anything or anyone is pitted against his bhai.
Kunal even says to himself at one point that if it hadn't been for Mishti and her relationship with Abir their (KuKu) story could've been different. I thought of this as a kind of admission that he began to like Kuhu and would've been open to take their relationship further.
So bascially he chose to do what he thought he had to for his bhai's happiness, even if that meant destroying the life of a girl who he developed a genuine relationship with, in process.
I don't think the scene was just about his hate for Mishti and his bitterness that Abir didn't choose him. Kunal seemed to feel guilty about what he did to Kuhu and himself really but would have got validation if Abir had chosen him in their argument. He hurt himself and Kuhu, for what? For Abir to tap into his conscience and tell him that he didn't need to. He could've had both; his bhai's happiness and real love.
Edit: 🤦 My bad. I posted before reading everybody's posts.
