1) Sumo felt bad when Shravan had to take 4 rounds of the field yesterday.

2) She felt bad when Shravan's dad gave him a shout today.

3) She understood the meaning behind Kanchan's song.

4) She is paying compliments to Shravan and Kanchan realizes that Sumo is changing.

5) She wants Shravan to accompany her to the party which will make her comfy.

6) In the precap, she broke another rule and went on a bike ride with Shravan at nighttime.

Sumo's heart is changing fast and of course Shravan is another world when Sumo is with him. What surprised me today is Devika didn't go over the top today. May be she is saving it for the party.

Thank you :)

All your points are bang on. Sumo's reactions to Shravan, especially off late are a clear indication of how her emotions are evolving. And despite his general ghonchuness, Shravan has noticed these shifts too.

This is why he feels comfortable cajoling her in the precap to come out with him....because he feels assured that she too cares for him. Right now, he's using it as playful leverage but I think later on he may confront Suman directly about the concern and care she shows for him. Ofcourse she might try to hide it behind friendship again😆....but I have a feeling Shravan will use some tactics to again bring out the fact that she deeply cares for him beyond what she's admitting.

Devika is definitely saving her ammunition for the party. She will never let Shravan off the hook so easily.....I was just laughing over how easily Shravan skipped away thinking he is free now😆. Karma is still waiting to bite him hard😆

But that's typical sharavan na😆 Itne jaldi se vishwaas kar leta hai despite knowing about devika's clinginess and his past experience regarding the texts tab bhi lallu was celebrating a little too early ke jaan choot gayi and ab bhi. Arre bhuddho jo ladki 150 calls karke pakati hai woh itne bade breakup news pe itni aasani se hug karke chali gayi😆 but yeah sharavan is too naive and trusting in that way too usko jo bolta hai koi he easily beleives it

While Shravan is the more lively character of the two, I don't really feel Suman has been shown as a one dimensional character either. There are many actual one-dimensional FLs on ITV....she isn't really one of them. She's a straightforward and focused girl, but I do think there are layers to her that are slowly unfolding as she bonds with Shravan.

If she was really one-dimensional, we wouldn't get scenes like the ones from the play rehearsals when she got emotional while doing the scene but tried to then detach and downplay it....or the way she tried to hide her painting from Shravan. She's an interesting balance of softhearted and emotional compartmentalization.

Shravan is her exception and she is his😆

I think I used the wrong word here. I guess what I was trying to say was I want to hear some inner thoughts of Suman like how we get voiceovers for Shravan. I think this will allow us to understand and connect with Suman better because she comes across as mysterious. Suman is definitely a layered character. So far she has been portrayed as calm and sweet. So I think it will be interesting to see her be in love and see her anger.

LOL yes, it is typical him to be this surprisingly naive. He needs Brigadier Sumo to protect him from the big bad world🤣

Actually dono hi bhole hain in different ways😆......but right now Shravan is in serious awe of Suman😆....toh waise bhi he looks up to her to solve most things.

The other interesting thing today was that even though Shravan went to Sumo's house to meet her, he did gain some knowledge and books from Col Tiwari.....I like these little touches where unwittingly Sumo is helping shape that path that Shravan will ultimately walk on towards joining the Army. In seeking her out, he is finding his larger destiny in life as well.

Ah ok that way....I see....yes, I guess Suman is relatively mysterious cuz she has less inner monologues than Shravan....but actually her inner monologues are revealing too in that they show her evolving thoughts towards Shravan. I think we will get more details as she goes through some emotional ups and downs with Shravan in the coming days. She is yet to struggle that deeply regarding her emotions.

We see more Shravan monologues mainly because he is very impulsive and rushes from one mischief to the next😆. I would actually like to see some more poignant monologues from him regarding his equation with his parents etc, about life in general.....but the story right now demands that all his focus is only on trying to show off a cool stud waali image and superficial things. When more meaning enters his life, more meaning will enter his monologues too.

True I agree. We are seeing a change in Suman and I just realized that we are seeing this change through Kanchan. During Suman-Kanchan's convos, Suman actually says what she thinks and Kanchan points out that she is changing. Yet, Suman is also cautious with Kanchan and doesn't fully reveal what she thinks/feels. I think Suman just doesn't let people in easily including family. So maybe we will get to know Suman better when her friendship with Shravan gets deeper and she opens up to him since trust will develop between the two.

haan Mr tiwari bhi impress ho gaye. i feel he understands sharavan better in general he gets to see through his playfulness and can actually be a very good guide for sharavan. he also seems to be Good in parenting as in how to handle this agegroup with suman so yeah devraj should send him for coaching haha but then i also feel ke agar kisi ko designate kia jaayega to coach shravan he will make sure he learns nothing. yeh more go with the flow hai in the moment he will accept any advice/guidance but allergic to bhashans/lectures/someone giving lifeadvice like many at that age

Definitely....Col. Tiwari is a more obviously sensitive personality than Devraj and definitely seems to have a better handle on parenting. He sees the potential in Shravan beyond his childish frivolous interests and that is why he is open to guiding Shravan at any juncture even if he sees Shravan messing up sometimes.

Shravan is a classic case of a resistance to an authority figure. If you try to bully him into listening to you, he will resist you more. But if you try to reason with him, not judge him for everything he says, then he will open up to more advice/guidance. Col Tiwari is the only one who tries this approach with him. Even Suman does express to him whenever she feels he's being dumb but Col Tiwari never does that.

Ironically though, right now, Shravan isn't really looking for advice. He is only listening to Suman because he's become attached to her. Col Tiwari is just a means to meet Suman for him for now. It is only later that I think he will value the guidance from the Col and bloom under it.

I'm actually curious to see what a focused Shravan would even look like😆....it's hard to imagine right now cuz he is a goof about everything.

Great post Anu! I just finished catching up all the episodes yesterday. I like how their friendship has evolved gradually without any cliches and in the most natural manner. Like both the families too, as in there is no usual restrictions and making a big deal out of small things!!! Yaha to ulta hai parents on both sides make Suman and Shravan do stuff together 😆 Also like the fact Suman doesn’t hide if she is with Shravan and kudos to the maker for showing how normal families are.

As you said, Shravan has fallen for Sumo and is wearing his heart on his sleeves. Suman on the other hand has subconsciously started liking him. I think why Suman has started liking Shravan more now because they started on a wrong foot and it only got worse from there. And Shravan did his hardest to form an image that he is too cool and kind of a shallow person. But there were many instances where Sumo saw his good qualities. Whether it was standing up for Saheb against Anish, helping out the patient at the hospital, making Sumo special tea when she was feeling down or making her meet her dad. All these shows the caring and sensitive side of his. Also he always brags about all the wrong things he does 😆 but not the fact that he is a badminton champion 😆 He really is one of a kind.

Makers have done a fantastic job with sumans character. Even though she is very disciplined and someone who follows every rule they have not made her preachy. Thats what makes it enjoyable to watch. She is someone who has very clear goals and someone who knows what she wants to do with her life. Her mischievous side also came through when she and Bunty got together to band bajao Shravan🤣🤣. Kitney mazzey se le rahi thi Shravan ki😆 Also Kanchan is hilarious, one of my favorite characters of the show🤣 She is the one who says in words what Sumo feels and holds back.

Agreed Mdkd and Ekdv are good shows on TV now. I absolutely love Mdkd, even though it gets slow at times. Characters are so relatable and the actors whether it be the main characters or side characters like maid, driver everyones so good in it. The old songs they play are so perfect for the situations. Its a treat to watch VB and ST.

Heya spidie! Hum phir mile😆

Word to your review! What first drew me to the show was the natural depiction of both the families only....no cliched family drama and typical negative characters. And then Suman-Shravan's gradual progression was a bonus too :)

@bold: Exactly. And this was summed up again in today's epi when Suman pulled his cheek and said, "Tumhari stupid harkaton ke peechhe jo thought hota hai, woh bahut sweet hota hai"😆.....she's seen past the bravado and quirky paradoxes to the pure heart he has and that is what impresses her. That's the irony....she's impressed by the things he isn't even trying to impress her with😆. He doesn't seem to realize that it's the real him, unvarnished, all heart, full of courage and fierceness in protecting the ones he loves that she actually likes. But he continues to fall back to his usual habits of casual lying and messes up.....lol he really is a unique piece😆

Re: MDKD....yep, ST and VB are fab. I liked Randeep too, especially his equation with Guneet....but the whole forum is only a Kabir fan😆....so didn't see much scope for discussion there.
