No she was absolutely not

If you read 90's magazines & tabloids, everyone and almost all of her colleagues stated her a very difficult person to work with

Karishma had huge fights & issues with almost every actress of 90s (except sri & madz as they were peaceful souls)

She was extremely proudy, haughty, arrogant and a big snob

Infect Kareena lookslike a saint in front of what karishma used to be

Plz do read all 90s magazines, they all resonate exactly the same

She used to be a huge trouble maker & a sassy rude kapoor, as I said much worst than even Kareena.

Her story sounds like the common one amongst wives in elite Delhi households. Wife swapping, auctioning wives, a night with someone's wife for a completion of business deals- it's quite common there. So I don't doubt the abusive part at all. And why she was still with him? Well, it's always difficult to come out of abusive marital relationships. Most people don't even try to. They don't even have a clue what's happening to them still years of therapy undoes that abuse. Social shame, failed wife shame all that is still very real in our society. So women does take and take abuse thinking it will be better next time around. It also depends on a person's personality how they handle abuse. Submissive and prone to self shame personalities rarely speak out. Doesn't matter from what family they belong.

Am just glad she came out of that hellhole. I hope her kids saw none of it happening. Hope she's in therapy. Stay happy,Lolo.

P.S. Soman has married her BF Anand.. who is a very rich Delhi business man's son. Does love marriage mean better for actress? Coz how much ever Lolo can claim, her marriage with Sanjay was an arranged marriage of sorts.

Nandita apparently has a thing for younger men -debutants and starkids. I do remember reading about her flings in film magazines over the years. As for Karishma, she was in a live-in with another married man, wasn't he? Or did he get divorced after he got involved with her?What is it with Bollywood actresses and married men!

I would like to believe and feel sorry for her. But the fame, money and power she had, blocks me from thinking that way.

If she could call off her almost wedding to Abhishek, surely she could have walked out of her marriage too. Saying that divorce was difficult in those days, is not realistic. How did Sanjay’s first wife took divorce then?

Karishma was supposed to be friendly with her husband and his ex even before her marriage. Did she not realise that they still had feeling towards each other? (As a friend, she could have tried to mend their difference and reunited them, instead of marrying him).

Wife swap whatever is beyond me. But in those social circles, I presume there is consent and woman is not traded as a commodity. If that ever happened in Karishma’s life, we cannot surely say that there was no consent. (She stayed for years).

Lastly, we have not heard much from her husband. I don’t want to consider silence as guilt accepted. To me, only one version is heard. It could be that she was a abla naari. Or it is an attempt to malign her ex.
