That's one thing makers took keen interest in developing it beautifully.. wether love or marriage everything.. even their dialogues and relationship.. amidst all the ppl in the show that's one pure love surrounded by a fire of hate.. maya was trying to fight alone which at some point had to face a downfall.. even durga dint fight mahishasura alone..every ounce of her fight had Shiva with her.. here Maya went on to become protective of Rudra which was not required.. had she trusted that he could be with her in her fight whole heartedly it would have been better..
