Happy belated Holi everyone! 🥳🥳Hope you all had a fun and safe Holi🤗

And gearing up to celebrate the 1st year celebration of our show!🥳

In the theme of good defeating evil, positive beats negative...

I would like to try and bring some some relief and smiles during these tricky confusing story archs between mishti, abir, kunal and kuhu. 😕😊

no.1 lesson I've learned and a kind tip/advice to all you lovely yrhpk mishbir fans:

-watching episodes in bulk, much later to when they actually aired, has a pleasant effect.

[Do try to take step back from the show, if ever you feel overwhelmed, having a small break allows you to clear your mind and come back to enjoy the episodes with fewer emotional attachment]

-After being forced to take a break from the forum and the show for a few weeks (meri bhai ki shaadi and mishbir ki shaadi clash hogayi 😆🤣) I'm finally catching up on these episodes I missed the last 2 weeks or so, and being able to watch them with a clear, fresh mind with limited expectations, allows me to enjoy the episodes better without being tied up in the drama.

Hope you don't mind me giving my re-cap of the 2 weeks I missed😃 I know lots of comments and fun discussions would have already been done, but don't hesitate to share your views and thoughts again here

xx

24th Feb - 28th Feb: Bidaai, incomplete SR, First rasoi, Mahashiv preparations

  • Mishti's bidaai was beautiful. The return of the soulful song 'son chidiya'. Abir's tears broke my 'tough wali image' toosmiley19smiley36smiley19 Shaheer's body language, facial expressions and voice modulations towards Mishti and BP, was soo genuine, his "I'm not a tough guy" hit me so hardsmiley28smiley19 Awbiiir never had such love, care and affection from a fatherly figure, and he deserves all of it unconditionally from BPsmiley27

-p.s Abir's dialogue "meri biwi ke bidaai be mujhe rola rahi ho" actually cracked my mum upsmiley37 Whilst I was getting tear eyed and emotional, my mum couldn't help laugh out at his adorable commentsmiley36

  • Meenakshi's otp niceness, sugar-coated acts was soo hard to digest. Yikes it was unbearablesmiley11 Too many out of the blue, sweet words "Mishti tumhari jaga meri dil mein hain" aiyoo,smiley44smiley37 How is anyone in RV house living normally with so much fake diabetes baatein?smiley23

-But I must admit, Meenu is playing a very chalaak, clever game here. Without openly getting involved in the sister's mess, she is slyly provoking the sisters against each other further, so that her under the table plans and plots will be hidden.smiley32smiley32 BB has always targeted her mohra very carefully and played against their weakness intelligently - Mishti's family weakpoint, Kunal's bhai weakpoint, Abir's nanko weakpoint, Nishant's mishti and family weakpoint and now Kuhu's insecurities with Mishtismiley20Well played BB, good strikesmiley32smiley16 but I'm glad to say, as usual all your plans will backfire, with the fire that Mishti and Kuhu suppress, and both your sons have already distanced themselves from you, your "minaar" is already shattering.

-THIS is what makes this saas bahu show, a tad hatkesmiley2smiley32 Typical ITV saas bahu shows include the villain saas always trying to interrupt or disrupt relationships between the lead couple. But here, we have our BB instigating the hostile sister bond, and leaving mishbir and kuku to do whateversmiley32 Thankyou meenu for your open-mind soch to give the married couples their own spacesmiley36smiley37

  • Mishbir and Kuku's SR/first nights were very nicely done. Thankyou to the writers for keeping the two couple scenes distinctly separate, I was able to enjoy both their dynamicssmiley20. Kuku's initial charm with Kuhu's bubbliness and Kunal's naive sense of humour was brought backsmiley32smiley36 Mishbir as usual were the perfect definition of sukoon and pyaarsmiley27smiley42 Abir chiding himself for saying too many shayaris, but the next minute he sees Mishtu sleeping - his shayar avatar just cannot be suppressedsmiley37smiley42smiley27 Just beautifulsmiley32
  • Abir and Kunal yaar! the level of bromance these two havesmiley3smiley37 Shaheer and Ritvik's comic timing is awesomesmiley32 That entire yoga, dhokla, khakra scene was hilarioussmiley37 Loved ritvik's little nuances when delivering the dialogues in between exhaling and inhalingsmiley36
  • **the sister's ceasefire and conversations/fights throughout the the week have lots of meaning and reading between the lines. I will place a separate post for kuhu with my observations and insights.
  • First rasoi competition was super entertaining and family funsmiley27smiley31 Mishbir teasing each other, one hand being such kiddossmiley17 "everything is fair in love n war" and then on the other hand, increasing the cooking temperature with their hubby and wifey intense momentssmiley43smiley9

-Shaheer and Rhea's performances have just escalated to new heights ever since mishbir patched up with all that angst, and finally got married with all the pyar and sukoonsmiley32smiley40smiley41

Nazar na lag jaye to these two spectacular, natural actors and their real performancessmiley27smiley42

  • Kuhu's impulsive act of breaking of the haar, and Mishti's reactions was also very nicely written and executed. Kuhu's position at that time is just like that famous moral story of the shepherd boy and wolf. The boy who fooled the village by playing pranks of a wolf in the village, got caught in his own trap when no one believed him when a wolf actually appeared. Similarly, Kuhu who continuously left no stone unturned to humilate, insult or blame Mishti, now when she was genuinely sorry and trying to explain to Mishti of her mistake, Mishti had all the reasons to not believe her. Anytime Mishti tried to teach Kuhu nicely and politely of her mistakes, Kuhu would simply insult her back and not listen to her. Even after knowing all the things Kuhu has done with her, Mishti still remains quiet but Kuhu always took advantage of that quality and continued to do injustice with her, time and time again. Well done Mishtismiley20, Kuhu deserves this and more.

- special applause to Rhea for always nailing these angry chorni confrontationssmiley32smiley32 Even with a harsh cold and sore throat, Rhea never fails to ace these performances especially with such clear dialogue delivery and fiery expressionssmiley20smiley32

Coming to probably my fav moments of the entire week. MISHBIRNALsmiley4smiley36smiley27

  • That entire video call between mr, hubby and mrs. wifey with nanko joining in, was wonderful. All the dialogues, expressions, little pauses and nuances were performed excellently by all three Shah, Rhea and Ritviksmiley32smiley20

-This trio is soo enjoyable to watch. Definitely places an automatic silly smile on my face that I simply cannot get rid of.smiley4smiley36 Watched that clip multiple times on loop

-My favourite dialogue has to be:

M~ "mujhe kunal se baat karni"

A~ "Tu..tumhe Kunal se kya baat karni..OK"

smiley37smiley37Shah's expressions were PERFECT!

  • Ofcourse the fantastic four's car scene was also entertaining. Kunal fed up attitude with Abir's typical teasing anticssmiley36 Mishbir's adorable hubby and wifey scenes but still acting like complete kiddossmiley17smiley42. and Kuhu's attempt to try and be happy with everythingsmiley14smiley20
  • Re-occuring theme of Kunal taking a break from work and Mishti taking charge. Although the car scene between the four leads was nice. I would have actually preferred to see the scene Mishti mentions that Abir talked to her about Parul maasi request to convince Kunal about taking a break from work. It would be worth seeing Abir and Mishti's pov of Mishti wanting to handle Kunal's job - first of all it's not like Abir has no idea of how to run red pear travels. I mean for the few months mishbir were broke up, Abir was more involved in the office work than Kunal. Why does Mishti have to be the only one to take charge of the company? Both Abir and Mishti are hardly seen working with the ngo these days, this unexpected turn just to get Mishti's name under the knife, was poorly written. Plus why did Parul maasi lie to Kunal that the 'plan' was Mishti and hers? It was clearly Benba who initiated the convo and gave Parul the responsibility to convince Kunal. Why couldn't Parul say that it was BB idea? She had nothing to lose, besides Kunal wouldn't get angry at Benba, but he would surely go question her about it, just like he asks the others.
  • Mishbir quick cute momentssmiley42 Loved everything about the last couple of scenes with Mishti cooking and Abir taking her pictures, them teasing each other about staying up the whole night. Abir's flirty irradhesmiley32smiley27smiley42smiley9 They are just love.

Thank you for this post! Loved reading it. The best part was the sugar coated Meenu thing 🤣 I was laughing so bad when she said tumhari jagah meri dil mein hai and then that BIG wide smile 😳🤣

I hope this track of Kuhu's insecurities is done cleanly. She has always been a flawed character but now the way the story is progressing she's turning black We are unable to enjoy KuKu moments even if there are any, here and there. But I find some scenes of Mishti and Abir really cute! Oh and the ceasefire which lasted for half an episode was also well done.

Nanduuu.....🤗Welcome back 🤗

Your post as usual is lovely. Loved how you nailed that Meenu is a hatke character with openminded soch. She is not the typical saas preventing the couple's SR. Instead she gave both her sons' space knowing pretty well nothing's gonna happen😆😆#Meenu ka sanskaar

Infact whenever she sees her sons' getting cozy with their wives she reverts her eyes giving them privacy.

And her superb perceptive skills has helped her in manipulating each and everyone in the show. She is one character who doesn't back down even after many flop plans and has always stood up for what she believes in, whether directly or indirectly.😆

As of now she is my fav character in the show. I dnt even want to talk about Mishbir and Kuku.😆
